How To COSPLAY

Cosplay: Yes or No?

Okay, real talk. Cosplaying is a choice. It's a choice where you'll dedicate yourself to show your fandom through physical appearance.

My definition of Cosplaying?

Is to become the character you want to be.

Embrace your fandom, in any way you want. It can be through cosplaying, collecting merchandises, or by just simply supporting it through different social media platforms.

The first question all aspiring cosplayers ask is:

"Do I have to cosplay?"

One: It's your choice. No one should manage your choice.

Two: If you are dedicated to cosplay, go for it

Here are some advantages and disadvantages to cosplay.

Advantages:

☆You can meet new friends that can be in the same fandom as you
☆Of course, new experiences
☆It will improve your friend-making ability, because like what I've said, you will meet people who are in the same fandom as you
☆ Not only you will learn from your research (could be about your character or the anime/show/movie), you will also learn from other people
☆BEST ADVANTAGE: You get to have fun cosplaying!

Disadvantages:

☆The total cost of the contact lenses, wigs, and materials
☆You will lose a lot of hours on your cosplay project
☆You might feel a little bit judged by the people around, but hey! Cosplay is for fun!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Guys, if money is a huge problem to you, like you haven't paid your rent or there's money you haven't paid yet, please know that cosplaying shouldn't be your top priority, unless you make a living out of it.

Cosplay, like what I've said, is for fun, it is not a necessity.
I repeat: IT IS NOT A NECESSITY
Focus on your school, work or whatever you have as your top priority. If you find the time and money to do it, go ahead but if you don't, don't force yourself.
