Chapter 9 Honeysuckle Pond

After knocking Vriska unconscious, Sollux frantically pumped air into Eridan's lungs desperate to gain even the slightest response from him. Watching his head dip down while Sollux checked his pulse wasn't doing him any good, it was clear they were loosing him. "S0llux." Aradia grabbed his attention with a cup of water. She held the back of his head tilting it to pour the water past his lips. In few seconds the water came spewing out as Eridan choked and gasped, the water saving his near dried out lungs. Helping him to drink more Eridan shook while clinging to Sollux, trying to steal body heat from him for his own recent lack of life.

"We sh0uld get him t0 any type 0f water s0urce, and s00n-" "*BASH* Vriska Sercet!" Kanaya came out in an old tee-shirt about to scold and screech to the heavens about Vriska's rude inconsiderate behavior before she saw the current predicament. "Oh Dear." "Who the fuck are you?!" Sollux yelled in an aggrivated tone. "Help." "Weiird name for a 2piider." "Not My Name." "Good, we could giive le22 of a 2hiit now where ii2 the neare2t water 2ource we have a 2ub2peciie2 at 2take here!" "There Is A Pond Near By, I'll Take You." Kanaya moved swiftly down from the tree, Sollux followed with Aradia on his tail. Moving threw bushes and aimless weeds they arrived at a perfect little pond surrounded by small yellow flowers. The water seemed to glow a glistening  yellow reflecting off the thousands of lights from the fireflies above and the moon shining it's gente beams. Sollux layed in the pond cradling Eridan close to him. The moist damp climate was perfect for the spacific type of yellow flowers to bloom giving a sweet scent to the air around them. "Are you okay?" Sollux whispered to him. Eridan shuddered then calmed, finally ceasing his body to shake uncontrollably. "IIt2 okay now, IIm here." Sollux held him like a subtle,delicate, embering, flame threatening to go out leaving him in the dark.

After Eridan fell asleep, Sollux continued to wash his body and lavish it in the water adoring every part of his body. "So Judging By His Colour He's Royalty?" "The la2t of hii2 blood colour." Kanaya nodded. Fireflies sat in Sollux's hair while he traced circles on Eridan's back, delicately running his fingers over the grub scars. A smile subconsciously slipped onto his face while he stared down at Eridan with his bi-coloured orbs, his eyes gone soft and tired. Kanaya grinned to herself. "Are You His Matesprit?" A slight frown on Sollux's lips as he replied. "No." Kanaya gave him a pitying look. "Hm, Well You May Sleep Here, This Pond Is Well Hidden So No Need To Worry Of Other Creatures." Sollux lifted his head to face her, disturbing the fireflies currently making themselves at home upon his head to scatter and fly about. Seeing this he earned a chuckle from her. "Other creature2?" "You Thought We Were The Only Ones, Dear?" She shook her head resuming to leave them by themselves. "Better get g0ing t00." "Okay, thank2 AA." She smiled and waved before dissapearing into the bushes. Sollux looked down into the water seeing his reflection. Only then had he noticed the fireflies flying about in his hair.

(Oh my gush I can imagine how cute Sollux would look with fireflies in his hair!!!! X3)
