A Wednesday afternoon in March

Battered body sitting on the
Grass
Exhausted to the core
My eyes focus on the sun rays
Peeking through the leaves' shadows
Trickling over the shy grass;
Both finally reunited after a lonely
Winter,
They blush.
The breeze chuckles
It caresses my face
Brushes my hair out of the way
And kisses my closed eyes
It flirts with the trees
They swish and sway in dance
I join
Eyes closed
Heart open
I smile.
