Taylor's POV:

I make my way down the stairs and as I get closer towards the kitchen I hear both Amara and Adam laughing. I smile as I walk closer and closer to the kitchen and when I finally get there the cutest scene awaits me. Adam and Amara are both covered head to toe in pancake batter and Amara is sprinting around the kitchen throwing blueberries at Adam while the cats scramble around looking for the fallen fruit. The kitchen needless to say is a mess, but I can't be mad. On the center of the counter I see a large pile of cooked pancakes and I make my way there first, quickly covering them with a plate. They both still haven't noticed I've come down yet. Adam is unsuccessfully trying to dodge the volleys of blueberries coming towards him, and he's trying to catch her but failing miserably. Suddenly he lunges forward especially close to catching her and she squeals with laughter sidestepping him once again while continuing to race around.

Adam: "How are you so fast?!! "

She grins in response successfully avoiding him once again, and shoots back a response of her own, slightly smirking as my boyfriend struggles to catch his breath:

Amara: "How are you so slowwww slowpoke?"

It's been three minutes of just watching them chase each other, and neither seems to want to give up. As much as I want this to continue I have to stop them when Amara reaches for the maple syrup and points the bottle at Adam. Maple Syrup and Furniture? Notttt a good combination.

I step out, clear my throat and they both freeze. Grinning, I take a good look at the two of them. Adam's shirt is a splotchy purple because of the blueberries and his hair is caked with pancake batter. Amara on the other hand got off a lot easier and although her clothes are stained with blueberries and pancake batter as well, there's nothing in her hair.

"Well well well... what do we have here?"

I raise an eyebrow at the pair of them before they both exchange looks, grab the remainder of the batter and the blueberries, and sprint towards me. You can only guess what happened after that.

After an hour, (three baths, a thorough cleaning of the kitchen, and a lecture to the two of them given by me), we all head down to the kitchen once more and to my relief my mom has taken up the cooking and a plate of pancakes await each of us. We all eat relatively fast and before I know it breakfast is finished. Remembering the sleeping incident earlier this morning, Adam steps out to get groceries and I tell a hesitant Amara that we're going to go upstairs and watch a movie. I pick out Love Actually knowing fully well that the love story plot will bore Amara to pieces, and I wrap us both up in a quilt. My mom was right. Ten minutes into the movie, she's curled up against me asleep. I switch the TV to friends and play with her hair as she sleeps in a ball beside me, her chest rising rhythmically in a steady pace. About an hour after that she starts to stir restlessly and it takes me about five minutes to cajole her back into sleeping. After about 6 friends episodes and three hours later Amara is past the point of being lured back to sleep. I quickly change the channel to Disney, and we both snuggle up and watch Girl Meets World until 2:30 PM. The amount I love this little angel is indescribable. While watching Girl Meets World she stays snuggled up to me and whenever she starts laughing at something the characters said, she turns her gorgeous green eyes up to meet mine to make sure that I'm laughing too. I almost don't want to give her up to Karlie for a couple of hours, but she's so excited about this coding thing that it would be unfair if I didn't let her go.

At 2:50 on the dot my doorman buzzes the apartment telling me that Karlie has arrived. Amara is literally dancing around the apartment in excitement and when Karlie gets to the door Amara peppers her with questions all the while grinning and spinning around the foyer. We both talk for about 13 minutes before Karlie promises that she'll have her back around 6, and they both head out. Adam eventually arrives home after a visit to the gym and his arms are full with groceries. We both unpack them quickly, and only after we finish is when we really notice the eerie silence of the apartment. Adam seems to think the same thing as I do which is why he suggests going shopping and I hastily agree. One thing about Adam is that he hates shopping (especially because of the paps) and I know then that we both must be noticing the quiet hush that has come over the apartment.
