23. IT'S BEEN A WHILE

Dear Ashton,

Hey, I'm sorry I haven't been able to write at all these past five weeks. I've actually been trying to forget all about you with Calum's help, he was distracting me from thinking about you with his crazy antics and all the invitations to hang out. I know that we've been friends for a while, but I only just realized just how much I loved his presence and how much I really enjoyed being with him. He was helping me move on, and he was doing a really fine job with it too.

Although there was still a part of me that still longed for you, and a part of me that still truly loved you from the bottom of my heart, I no longer feel as much pain as I used to whenever I see your face. I was growing used to seeing the two of you happy together that it was almost as if you didn't have that effect on me anymore.

I still do love you and I still do care, but I'm learning how to forget all about you. I'm sorry, I hope you understand that it's for the best.
