The rest of the day was great. Me and Marina laughed in 3rd and 7th. I also had math with Calvin and Matthew.

And I had Chemistry with Ellie. I hadn't even known these people for a week and I felt like I had known them my whole life. When I got home I didn't feel numb. I texted all of them and felt happy. The next few weeks I was truly happy. I hadn't felt happy in a while. I think Chuck noticed too, because she stopped asking if I was okay.

Everyday we would all sit together and laugh. I think Ellie and Calvin like each other, because they flirt quite a lot. I like to see how when Ellie isn't looking, Calvin looks at her like she is his world, and when Calvin isn't looking, Ellie looks at him the same way. We all have dreams of being musicians. Matthew and Calvin hear music differently than others. And Ellie has an incredible voice.

Marina refuses to let me hear her sing, but if her talking voice is flawless, then her singing voice must be indescribable.

I havnt told them that music is my passion. I just feel so insecure because they are all amazing and talented, and I'm just me..

At lunch the next day I must have been staring off in space. A French fry hit me in the face and I turned towards my friends.

"What." I asked, staring at there faces. They all were trying to hold back laughing.

"You back on earth now Liz?" Calvin joked.

I giggled and nodded my head.

"So, Liz." Matthew started, looking at everyone else.

"Come to my birthday party?" he said confidently, as if he already knew the answer.

"Nah I'm good." I said laughing. Everyone else chuckled.

He pouted, then joined in laughing.

"Friday night k?" he said more confidently.

"Alright Matty." I said smiling.

I looked at Marina and she was looking down. Suddenly the bell rang and me and Marina were walking to 3rd. Mr.Daniels and I were actually quite close. I'd never thought that I would be like actual friends with a teacher.

Like Marina said, she had me over for dinner one night and he was there. We got on quite well and he's very funny.

Having my group of friends in my life made me more confident as well. I wasn't shy anymore. I laughed and commented on things and people laughed with me. They gave me my boost of energy I so desperately needed.

I stayed away from my family as much as possible. They made me unhappy. My father was always gone, and my mother never keeps a conversation. My brother doesn't care for me, and Chuck has found some friends that she always likes to hang out with.

When Friday came around, I just threw on a pair of blue jeans and a white blouse. Knowing Matt he wouldn't care what I wore as long as I came to his party. Matt and Calvin are juniors, while Ellie Marina and I are freshman, so there were a lot of people I didn't know at the party. Matt and Calvin also got a boost of confidence after becoming friends with us. They have a lot of friends now, but they haven't forgotten about us.

When I arrived at the party I wandered around chit chatting to people for about an hour or so. I had about two drinks, not enough to make me tipsy. After about another 30 minutes of I found Matt.

"Liz!! You came!" he slurred, obviously drunk.

He about fell over on me so I had to catch him and prop him up on a wall.

"Marinas looking for you." he said winking.

"Okay." I sighed. "Happy Birthday Matty." I said patting his head.

He smiled like the happiest person I the world.

I set off to find Marina. I searched the house for a good five minutes before I saw her dancing.. With Ellie.

They danced on each other, grabbing and touching and squeezing one another. It was very sexy. It was really sexy.

I bit my lip and continued to watch them, my breathing becoming heavier.

After two minutes or so, Marina spotted me.

"Ayyyy!" she screamed, clearly drunk as well.

They ran over to me. Marina grabbed my hips and slammed them against hers, kissing me on the cheek.

"Ive been waiting for youuu elizabethhh." she said slurring her speech.

"Mhm okay." I laughed, getting turned on by her touch. "Hey Ellie." I said breaking away from Marinas tight grip. I liked her being near me, but people were starting to stare.

"Hey babesss, you look fittt." she said.

I shook my head and laughed.

Ellie walked back to where the dancing was going on, and Marina grabbed my hand and led me upstairs.

"What's up babe." I said getting concerned.

"I just wanted to be alone with you." she said throwing me on the bed.

I didn't know what was happening, but I knew she was drunk. I thought she was beautiful but I wasn't sure if I was attracted to her, and I didn't want to take advantage of her. But I knew where this was going.

Then she did something unexpected.

She lay next to me, and wrapped her arm around my stomach. She spooned me and played with my hair.

"I just wanted to tell you that I'm glad you came into my life." she said in a low sexy voice. But her words made me smile. "You've helped me more than you'll ever know Elizabeth." she said. Her breathing slowly started to even out, and I could tell she was falling asleep. I turned and faced her.

Her eyes were shut. We were just friends, and we both knew that. So I didn't think planting a kiss on her lips would be a big deal to her, but to me it was massive. I.. I really liked her.

I leaned in and slowly connected our mouths to each other. She opened her eyes, in shock, but slowly relaxed her body. She kissed back slowly.

Nothing more than a kiss. After about a minute of our lips touching I pulled away.

"I love you Marina." I said softly.

"Alright." she said closing her eyes again.

I knew she loved me too. I closed my eyes, and we both fell asleep to each others breathing, while holding each other in each others arms.
