"I'm not sure I should still be talking to you... Strand he... He doesn't want us to talk to strangers."

Allison halted her steps by the door, her ear coming in contact against the metal surface as she listened to Alicia's conversation with the guy on the radio. Allison shared the same opinion with Victor Strand, specially when there's a rather large boat hot on their tail; it could very well be Alicia's 'radio friend' and his true intentions were unclear.

There was shifting on the other side of the door and Allison could hear her friend talk hurriedly. "I'll be right back."

Allison retreated her steps, hiding on the corner of the hall and watching Alicia walk up the stairs. She took this as her opportunity to enter the room and access the radio - she had quite a few things to tell this guy.

Her fingers traced the object, eyes checking the door once every five seconds before she took in a deep breath, reaching for the speaker and clearing her throat. She pressed the button, simply testing the waters, noticing how the static sound stopped for a second before she let it go and it came back.

"Alicia? Are you there?" the male voice resonated from the device.

Allison pressed the button once more, though this time, she spoke clearly. "This ain't Alicia."

The channel was silent for a few seconds, annoying static her only response - when suddenly, it stopped, and Allison could hear him breathing, almost contemplating his next words.

"Who is this?"

"I think I should be asking you that?" she countered, releasing the button and glancing over her shoulder at the door. The line was silent once more, and Allison knew she wouldn't get the desired answer from him.

"What are your intentions?" She pondered, eyes narrowing as she glanced out the window, watching as the smoke from the destroyed boat got further and further away from them; for all she knew whoever did it could be closer than they thought.

"I assure you they're purely innocent."

"My ass." she snorted. "Where are you located? Were you the ones who destroyed the other boat?"

"You sure ask too many questions for someone who won't even give me their name." He replied after a few seconds of silence.

There was sudden movement by the door and Allison turned to see Alicia, with eyes slightly widen as she saw her holding the speaker.

"Did the hard truth bite your toe?" his voice sounded smug, malicious even, and Allison gripped the speaker on her hand incredibly tighter.

"What are you doing? Were you talking to Jack?" Alicia marched to her, yanking the speaker off her hand; both girls glared each other down.

"You know you shouldn't be talking to this guy, Alicia. You know how dangerous it is. He can't be trusted."

"Their fishing boat is sinking, Strand refused to help, they're dying out there." the Clark girl snapped. " It's just him, his brother and sister-in-law. What damage can they possibly do to us?"

They remained silent; Allison pondering over her friend's words. She still felt unease when it came to this new found friendship of Alicia and this Jack guy, and it would stay that way.

"Hello? Are you still there?"

Alicia sighed, licking her lips and pressing the button. She glanced at Allison as she did so, a defiant look crossing her brown eyes. "I'm here Jack." she replied, releasing the speaker.
