It was the middle of the night now, Alice was loosely hanging at the post she was bound too, tired and her body stinging. More people came and threw lashings at her, both physical and verbal. The moonlight peering through the upper windows were the only light source that was offered in the otherwise, pitch black room. She heard the familiar dull footsteps of Erwin's as he entered the room and spoke with Alice. They talked for a small amount of time before they were interrupted by someone else, or rather a group of others. The small group of her three friends were there to see her, just as Erwin, in the middle of the night. Levi glared at him as Erwin nodded and left the room. He had finished his conversation with Alice in anycase. Isabel ran over to the beaten girl attached to the wooden post as she hugged her, she held alice close, even though Alice herself could not hug back.

"I'm so sorry Allie.. I want to help you, we'll cut you free and-" Alice shook her head as Isabel backed away slightly from Alice. Alice held a smile, it was warm and it looked almost real. Isabel wanted to protest, and so did Levi and Farlan, but she refused all of them.

"Listen, I don't mind this outcome. I'll be fine, so what if I'm a bit beat up, you haven't seen the last of me, not even close." Isabel wiped her tears that almost fell from her eyes as she placed her hands on her hips, puffing out her chest.

"That's right. My big sister is going to kick ass once she's free." Alice chuckled at her silly antics.

"That's right. You have the right idea. It's late, you all should really go rest." With heavy hearts, Isabel and Farlan wanted to stay, but Levi had also told them to leave. They followed their instructions and soon the two were gone. Alice looked to Levi and sighed.

"You realize, when i said 'you all' that included you." Levi crossed his arms.

"Shut it prat. YOu really think I'd listen to that hopeful shit you spout." Alice pouted and exclaimed that his attitude wasn't necessary and that she could do without it. "Do you honestly believe that you'll live another week." Alice sighed again.

"Nope. I bet they'll kill me tomorrow, if I lived another extra day, I'd consider myself lucky." Levi clenched his fists together and sneered at her. His voice echoing in the empty room.

"Then why the fuck won't you let us help you?!" Alice chuckled. "You're laughing. You're literally going to die and you think it's funny?" Alice shook her head.

"Not at all, I think it's funny how I never wanted bonds, but I got them anyways. I lived long enough I suppose, did more things than I thought possible, I'm okay with this Levi. Go back to Isabel and Farlan. And please, try not to be so harsh." Levi smirked, she was still sarcastic and the same Alice, even on her bed sentence. He reached out and slapped her forehead, her face contorted and she pouted and whined. He then stuffed his hands in his pockets and bid her farewell. Alice smirked and silently thanks Levi, though her head still hurt.

The next day, it was announced that Alice was to be executed immediately; that afternoon infact. She was removed from the post and dragged off to a cellar below ground and given a tattered shirt, that was huge on her. She tore the sleeves off and tied them around the shirts waist, making a makeshift dress. Mutter something about how she might as well try to look nice for her death. She was tied with rope at her wrists as she was escorted to a large open area outside. There was a post in the middle of some straw and people gathered around. She was to be burned at the stake, such as like a witch. She chuckled as how pathetic this was. She stood, her back against the wooden post as the rope was used to bind her feet and hands to the post. They lit the fire as it slowly traveled to Alice's body. It scorched her legs as she let out a blood curling scream. It hurt like hell. But fate decided to play a trick on the by standers.
