Summer Vacation

A Night out for Dawn

Me: WHOOO! I'M ON A ROLL TODAY!
Misty: TWO chapters in ONE day???
Ash: Gosh, we were lucky if you posted one in a month!
Me: yeah, yeah, I know
Drew: so, if another chapter is so exciting, can we read if??
Me: oh yes! Of course! Oh! But before I forget, remember to ask the crew some questions!
Ash: yeah! They're really fun!
Me: alright! Let's do this thing!

"I can't wait to go shopping tomorrow! It's gonna be so much fun!" Dawn squealed, slipping on a fresh top for dinner.
"Same!" May giggled.
The gang had decided to attend a fancy ball in Nimbasa city, which meant they'd all need new fancy outfits. Misty flipped through a few magazines, looking for anything she might like.
"There's nothing!" She cried, tossing a third catalogue onto the floor.
"Oh but Misty!" May gushed "you could wear anything! You have such a nice body, and of course you're so pretty!"
Misty blushed.
"Thanks May, but I'm nowhere as pretty as you!"
Dawn laughed
"I get it you're both pretty!"
"So are you!!"
There was a knock on the door.
"Girls, dinner!" Brock called.
"Coming!" Misty yelled back.
The three wandered down to the cafe.

"So, I'm thinking of getting a strapless one, but I don't know if I've really got the figure, if you know what I'm saying," Dawn said, sipping her pink lemonade.
"No way! You could totally pull that off!" May argued "right Drew?"

The green haired boy looked up from his meal. No one had been paying attention to the conversation.
"Uh, yeah um, sure." He found it easy just to agree with her.
"See Dawn, it'll be great, no matter what you wear."
The girls continued to discuss clothing. "I'm looking forward to tomorrow a significantly less than I was before." Ash whispered to Drew.
"Tell me about it." He muttered in return. 
"Y'know, I'm gonna head to bed now, you guys can stay here if you want." Brock announced, stacking his dishes.
The three guys saw an opportunity to leave. And took it, they did.
"Y'know, I'm kinda tired, I think I'll get to bed too." Ash yawned following Brock.
"We're probably gonna have a late night tomorrow, I should get to bed early." Drew followed the other two.
Paul simply stood up and left with no explanation.
"That was weird..." Misty noted, slightly confused.
"Not as weird as this dress I found the other day!"

After everyone finally went to sleep, they all slept soundly.

The next day, the girls were up early planning the day.
"C'mon, let's go wake the guys up." Misty said after they ran through the plan for the fifth time.
"Rise and shine everyone!" Dawn cried, bursting through the door.
May yanked the blinds open, causing the guys to groan with the sudden light.
"Wha-" Ash lazily ran a hand through his hair "what time is it?"
"Uh-" Misty blushed for a moment, noticing his adorable bed hair, before shaking the thought "we're here to explain today's plan."
The four males groaned as May pulled out a map.
"We are currently, here." She explained, pointing to the Undella town on the map "we will travel to Castelia city, stopping in Nimbasa on the way, to check everything out."
"Then, after we've finished shopping, well head back to Nimbasa and have the perfect night!"
Brock laughed
"Sucks to be you guys." He mocked.
Drew looked down to him.
"You're not coming?" He asked groggily
"Nope, I only brought 6 tickets."
Dawn squeaked.
"That means it's only gonna be us! It's gonna be so fun!!"
Ash and Drew unenthusiastically cheered.
"Cmon, let's get ready!!"

"I can't believe we have to spend the day clothes shopping." Ash complain, slipping a shirt on.
"You can say that again." Drew mumbled.
Paul remained silent as he dressed.

At 8 o'clock in the morning, all three male teens stood outside the hotel waiting for the girls. Finally they arrived.
"Alright, let's catch that train!"

"Okay, the dance starts at 9, that gives us about 10 and a half hours to shop." They were all gathered together in Castelia city.
"Oh my gosh!! There's a new shop opening up!! We should totally check it out!!" Dawn squeaked.
All the girls agreed and grabbed their respective partners.

"Don't you think you've got enough dresses?" Ash watched as Misty took another dress from the rack.
"Maybe..." Misty's eyes wandered over the dresses again "ooh!" Her eyes lit up, seeing another dress.
"Really."
"Hey, you can't judge me, besides, I'm gonna go try them on now, tell me what you think, okay?"
Ash sighed
"Yeah, okay."

"I think I'm gonna try these on, what do you think, Drew?"
Drew scanned the pile of dresses in May's hands.
"None of them are red?"
May glanced down at her outfits.
"No..?" She looked up to Drew "should they be?"
Drew shrugged, shoving hi hands in his pant pockets.
"I'm no fashion expert, but that's the colour is put you in."
May blushed.
"Oh," she placed her dresses down "maybe you wanna help me pick out one?"
Drew flicked his hair
"I thought you'd never ask."

Dawn held up another dress.
"This one?"
Paul grunted.
Dawn picked up another one."
"How about this one?"
Paul grunted.
Dawn sighed.
"This one?" She asked, holding up
Another one."
He grunted again.
"Gosh Paul!!" Dawn yelled, getting impatient.
She looked around, harder for something nice. Finally she picked one dress.
"How bout this is one."
Paul stopped. His eyes widened.
"Uh..." He cleared his throat "um, I mean, yeah, whatever."
Dawn smiled.
"That's the one."

"Ash, which one do I pick? There're so many!!" Misty picked up one of the dresses and tossed it aside.
"Um," Ash picked up a random dress "this one."
Misty hesitantly took it and went to try it on.

It was 9 exactly. The guys were inside, waiting, as usual. As the three girls entered, all eyes turned to them. They're jaws went slack as they walked down the stairs.
Dawn, sporting a long pastel pink dress, falling to her ankles, the chest lightly decorated with silver sequence. From her ears, hung diamonds and her long blue hair, up in a stylish bun.
May had on a knee high cherry red dress, with a brown bow belt. She wore knee high boots, to match her belt. A silver chain with a red ruby hung perfectly around her neck. Her usual pigtails where in a side ponytail.
Misty was dressed in an aqua blue dress, finishing centre thigh at the front and delicately running to the floor at the back. A navy blue band around her waist and green swirls decorating the chest. On her neck was a silver necklace, with a water droplet pendant on the end. Her casual side ponytail was now down, and her hair fell flawlessly to her shoulders.
"M-misty, you look..." Ash was speechless as she and to him.
"Ugly?"
"Amazing."
"You look stunning," Drew complimented smoothly, handing May a rose.
Dawn receive a smile from Paul, which completely made her night.

As the night stretched on, the couples danced, laughed and ate (especially Ash). Halfway through the night, the music slowed, and couples entered the dance floor.
"M'lady?" Drew offered his arm to May, who gladly accepted, following him to the crowd.
Paul gently took Dawns hand and lead her to the floor too. All who was left, was Ash and Misty.
"Nice music, huh Ash?" Misty watched dreamily as the couples danced and swayed in time with the music.
"Oh, uh, yeah, it's pretty neat." He looked over to her, staring wistfully at the event "um, you wouldn't perhaps, like to dance, would you?" He smiled his signature goofy grin, as Misty beamed.
"Oh, Ash!" She gasped "I'd love to dance!"
"Here." He stood up and cleared his throat "may I have this dance?" Ash held out a hand for her.
She gently placed hers on top as the walled together to the dance floor.
Ash took one of Misty's hands in his and slipped his other around her waist. Misty placed hers on his shoulder and rested her head on his chest.
"Ash, this is so amazing."
Ash smiled, lightly kissing the top of her head.
"Not as amazing as you."
Misty looked up at him, gently pecking his lips.
"I love you Ash." She whispered, staring into his chocolate orbs.
He smiled at her.
"I love you too."

May laughed as Drew stepping on he foot again.
"I swear, I'm gonna have a bruise tomorrow." She said, narrowly avoiding his foot again.
"Look, June, I'm doing the best I can, cut me a break."
May shook her head.
"Grass head."

Paul stared at his feet, counting to himself as he stepped, making sure his timing was right.
"Paul, you know you don't have to be perfect."
"123 123, 12- huh?" He looked up into her big blue eyes.
"I said you don't have to count." She laughed "see, you're doing it now."
He glanced down to his feet again then back to Dawn. He smiled.
"Y'know, Paul, you really should smile more often."
Paul gently kissed her cheek.
"I know."

Me: well, there you go. Another chapter done.
May: that was so cute!

Misty: oh! Remember to ask us questions guys!

Ash: and food is always welcome
Me: I'll see ya again real soon!
