diamond in the rough

You're a diamond in the rough.

Your not sexy but your pretty tough.

If you're confused by what I'm saying then its cool cause

I'm about to explain it to you.

Diamond In The Rough.

You're that really pretty shiny diamond in the back

further away from the rest.

You're that big pretty diamond everyone wants but won't do what it takes to get at it.

Every once in awhile a minner May come along and promises you " You're Coming Home With Him".

But after awhile he starts looking at you less & less & You hear him mumbling under his breath.

Saying you're just like the rest.

But eventually he picks one of the " Easy Ones" & leaves without telling you sorry.

After awhile it gets old & You start to loose your shine.

Now no one wants you because not "Worth It".

But one day someone comes along & that one special diamond further away from the others catches their attention.

So they dig.

Then they scratch.

Then they wipe.

Then they brush this to the side & scoop that to the side.

When they look at you're a little dirty & scoffed up.

But they didn't care.

They cleaned you up.

They had to go through a lot to get you pretty tough again.

He Sat you up on a silver platter in front of a mirror.

You looked at yourself and shined.

You sparkled You amazed.

But most of all you deserved it, Cause you were Worth It.
