Aerlinniel POV
I have been running for a while now, hopefully I will reach the mountain soon. As I run and almost trip, there is a loud noise and I feel a strong wind. Then I hear a voice speak,
"I am fire. I am...DEATH!"
I freeze. That...was...a...Dragon.
I don't know what to do as I start to panic. I cannot move and I just seem frozen in time. Memories flood into my mind. The screams, the heat, yelling out for my family as I ran and fell multiple times. I feel like I am about to pass out when I hear a familiar heartbeat.
Bilbo. I smile.
Finally, I start to function again and I slowly start to move closer to where I hear Bilbo.
"Bilbo!" I shout his name.
"Aerlinniel?" He says in disbelief. "Mallory and Imryll told me you had been kidnapped. I wasn't sure when I was going to see you again."
Dropping to my knees, I hug him. He wraps his small arms around me.
"You have no idea how happy I am to see you." I tell him as I pull back and smile at him.
"We have a huge problem. Smaug is flying towards Laketown. We have to do something." He says and my smile fades.
"Bilbo, I am afraid there is nothing we can do."
Tauriel POV
As I watch the sky, with my Elf-hearing I can hear Smaug approaching and roaring. Suddenly, a huge shadow swoops overhead. Smaug has arrived.
I enter the house and prepares the Dwarves and the man's family to leave.
"We have no time. We must leave!" I tell them.
"Get him up."
"Come on, brother."
"Come on, come on! Let's go."
"I'm fine, I can walk." Kili says to them.
"As fast as you can."
"We're not leaving. Not without our father." The young boy says.
"If you stay here, your sisters will die. Is that what your father would want?" I question.
We the go outside and we all get on a boat.
"Give me your hand."
"Come on, we gotta go!"
"Quickly now! Hurry!" I rush them as I hear people all around me shout.
"Kili, come on!"
We set off down the canal, rowing the boat through the floating chunks of ice. Smaug swoops low overhead, and the townspeople scream.
Smaug soars high above and away from the town, then turns and dives steeply toward the town. As he gets over the town, he unleashes his flames.
"Look out!" One of the Dwarves say as a boat collides with ours.
We manage to push the boats apart, but some of the treasure from the other boat falls into the water.
"Move it! Move it! Come on, faster!"
"My gold, my GOLD!"
I hide our boat under an overhang until it's safe to go on.
"Da." The boy says and I look up to see his father at the top of the tower.
"DA!" The youngest girl screams.
As I watch, he shoots yet another arrow, harmlessly hitting the dragon.
