I can feel the rock in my hand, my chosen weapon. All that Aiden and Leathan taught me plays in my head as I think of the best way to get away. Lucas catches me, wrapping his arms tightly around me. I hold on to my rock for dear life, and can feel it stabbing my skin. A tree is close by, so I use it to push my body into him, effectively knocking him off balance. He lands on his back with me on top. I turn to him, and slash the rock into his face, aiming for his eyes, but I missed and caught his cheek. That's only going to make him mad. "You bitch," he screams at me, so I take my chance, and punch him in the nose, trying to break it. "Ah," he screams,"You're going to pay for that," he adds menacingly. I try to get up, while he is busy with his nose, and scream,"Help!" As loudly as I can. My voice is foreign to the loudness, and it hurts badly, but I scream again while running blindly.

Lucas has caught me once again, but this time by my neck. His rough hands hold on tightly strangling me, so I can't speak or breath. I flare my hands in the air, and try to push him away as best I can. My legs kicking his shins and knees. I must have hit a good spot, for he stumbles back releasing my neck, but he throws me to the ground. "Help!" I scream again, the world seems a bit blurry, but I try to focus.

"Still screaming," Lucas approaches. He is towering over me. His leg right beside me, so I use any strength I have and grip my hands together to form on strong first. Then, swing it into his knee cap. "Feck!" He growls, but now he's on the ground with me. What have I done? He moves towards me and sits atop of my stomach. "You are far too beautiful to be a wench. We need to fix this pretty little face," he begins, before taking out his knife, and bringing it to the right side of my face. I can feel the cold metal beside my brow, as he starts to adds pressure. At first, I feel no pain, but then it comes in full force, an evil sting. I clench my teeth to keep from screaming in pain. Knowing that is just what this monster wants. "Come on. Scream for help!" He yells at me, but I just look at him with disgust.

He seems board, and I feel his hands roaming my body, hovering down by my thighs. "Help! Help!" I scream over and over. His hands push my green dress up, tearing parts of it in the process.

"No one is coming for you," he yells into my face, and tears begin to flow down my cheeks. He's right. I'm alone.

"Help!" I try once more, holding on to any hope I have left. Then, a black shadow throws itself at Lucas, and in an instant, I feel weightless. He's gone. I hear moans and groans of pain, and grunts of anger. I slowly get up from the ground my sore muscles and bones, resisting the movements. That's when I see him. The raven black hair, my Leathan! I walk towards him and see he is still throwing punches at Lucas. Lucas has become unrecognizable, and my stomach turns at the image.

"Leathan, you did it. He's dead," I call to him, holding on to his shoulder to bring him back to me. He takes a moment before stopping, standing, and slowly turning to me. He takes in my appearance. I must look awful and pathetic. He offers me his hand, and I take it. "I fought. I fought." I whisper, my voice hurting from all the screaming.

"I know you did, Mo Misneach," he replies with certainty. His words. That's all I need.

"Mo Misneach, I need you to wake up," Leathan calls to me somewhere in the darkness, and I begin to stir. I open my eyes to the day and regret it instantly.

"Ugh," I groan, holding onto my head.

"Here let me," he says just above a whisper, trying not to disturb my already throbbing head. Then his magical fingertips are in my hair rubbing gentle certain circles into my scalp. I let out a very unladylike moan and move closer to him. He lets out a soft chuckle that hits my cheek. "As much as I would love to stay here in bed with you all day, and do nothing, but rub your head, and be the cause of those delicious sounds; we have the battle to fight, grá mo chroí. We need to get you ready," he said.

"What do you mean?" I question surely he did not want me in the mists of battle.

"The men have a surprise for you," he smiles, taking my hand in his, and helping me out of the cot in our tent. We walk hand in hand to the black smith's tent, where weapons are being sharpened, but in the corner, there is something else. Elegant armor with beautiful, yet fierce designs carefully crafted into it. "We need our spirit on the battlefield today. We need our Queen."

"Leathan, I don't think I can," I say, unable to meet his blue eyes. He takes my face in his hands, careful not to disturb the new addition to my face.

"You can. You are strong. You are too stubborn to let that filth change you, Arabella. You need to fight, for your Kingdom. You will be safely protected, but you will fight," Leathan stated with certainty.

A tear escaped my eyes, and I smiled up at him. I nodded. "Then, let's get ready, Solider."

Leathan's bright smile filled his face, and his blue eyes shined with pride. "There's my Queen," he picked me up and spun me around before my feet found the ground again. Leathan took my face and placed a gentle loving kiss on my lips.

"Get a room, will ya!" Aiden called, walking up to us. Already in his armor, ready to take on a whole army. "I'm glad to see you, Ella," he smiled down at me. "You two go, get ready. We leave in less than ten," he ordered.

"I'd swear, you were the leader," Leathan sighed, but laughed, collecting our armor from the blacksmith. We practically ran to the tent, and he helped me maneuver my sore body into the sliver protection. "You will stay with me and Aiden. We will make sure you are safe." He reapplied a cream to the cut on my cheek, and it stung. "Sorry, it will keep the cut from reopening on the field." I nodded. When I was ready he quickly fastened his armor like a pro, before giving me a wink. "Let's go save our Kingdom."
