By the time I'd woken up, Michel had already gone downstairs. I quickly showered and changed into a pair of pants and a collared white shirt. After braiding my hair, I made my way downstairs, trying to forget that this would be my last breakfast here. Downstairs, the whole family was already seated around the table for breakfast. Lisa looked up as I came in and gave me a small smile before continuing her conversation with Michel who was picking at his food. It was nice though; that they pretended that nothing was happening today. I was just about to take a seat next to Lisa when the bell rang.

"I'll get it," I said and went to the door. Outside was my father. My eyes widened and I clamped a hand over my mouth in shock.

"Father, what are you doing here?"

"You think I wouldn't come to find you," he said and he pulled me into a hug. I was in too much shock to hug him back.

"I thought you would never come back," he said and he seemed to be close to tears. I felt a pang of guilt as I realized I'd walked out on my father just like my mother had 2 years ago. Despite the fact that we'd grown apart slightly over the last 2 years, he was still my father. I drew back from him; ready to apologize when I saw the shocked expression on his face. He's turned almost pale and his mouth was slightly open.

"What's wrong," I asked and turned to find him staring at Lisa who was staring back with a very similar expression on her face. Jack looked between the 2 of them with a confused expression on his face.

"Do you two know each other?"

Her son's voice seemed to shake her out of her shock and she bit her lip before turning to her son.

"Jack, this is your father."

My mind reeled from shock as the full impact of what she'd said fell into place. Jack looked disbelievingly between the 2 of them before looking at his brother as if making sure he'd heard correctly. I realized with shock that my father had cheated on my mother all those years ago and I realized that was probably why she'd left him. I looked at my newly found half-brother as he stared back in shock and confusion.

"I know this is a lot to take in," Lisa started but I interrupted her as anger coursed through me.

"You cheated on mother and you didn't even tell me. How could you do that to her, or Lisa," I screamed at my father who looked completely torn. He reached forward to touch me but I flinched.

"Don't touch me," I said in a furious tone and was about to storm upstairs when Lisa grabbed my arm.

"Wait, you still don't know everything."
