The rest of the bloody battle was a blur. I woke up days later in the infirmary with a cute guy sitting right by me. He had blond wavy hair. He was talking with a medic so he didn't seem to notice that I was awake. I was going to keep it that way for now. He started to turn his head back towards me. I quickly shut my eyes again. But opened them so I could see a tiny bit through little slits. He looked really worried. I didn't like that he was worried. That made me worry.
I opened my eyes a little more and moaned. The boy's head shot back around to look at me. I tried to sit up but failed to because I had a splitting headache and my chest was exploding. He told me to lay back down and that everything would be okay. Why was he telling me this? I didn't even know who he was. He was acting like I had known him my entire life.
"Who are you?" I managed.
"What?" He looked at me shocked like I was joking. I was not joking. "Nico, you know who I am. We got married less than a week ago. I'm Will, your husband." He was crying now. If he was who he said he was, why couldn't I remember him?
"During the battle," Will started, "one of the Giants picked you up and squeezed you. He probably broke a few of your ribs. But then you bit him and he dropped you." Will was sobbing now, "on the way down you hit your head on several rocks. You were out for days." That would explain a headache and the ribs. But who was he?
"Why can't you remember?" Will yelled in between sobs. What was his problem? He was yelling at the sky, though, not at me.
"Dude, I don't even know who I am," I shouted which caused little fuzzy things to dance all over my eyes.
"You're Nico di Angelo. You're the son of Hades. You're 27 years old and you're my husband as of six days ago." Will looked horrified.
"I'm sorry Will, but I just can't remember."
He was wailing now. I don't know what he was thinking, but he pulled me into a kiss.
Despite the stars I was seeing quite vividly, I kissed him back.
When he pulled away we both gasped for breath. All I could say we're two little words.
"I remember."
So I'm here to tell you this, I went from Vegas to amnesia in less than a week. If you're a Demi-God, and you're planning a wedding, make sure you're heavily guarded. Otherwise, there's going to be hell to pay.
Hope you are well.
Nico di Angelo.
