Back at the battlefront, everyone was tired, bloody, bruised, and anything except ready to fight a dozen giants. I couldn't blame them. I myself was in no condition to fight. I was barely walking in a straight line, even with the ambrosia.
Why did it have to be today? Why did it have to be here? Now? On my perfect day? This is so frustrating.
Ok, think, Nico. What can I do to stop this? Giants don't have good eyesight. Wait, crap, that's a cyclops. I was beyond frustrated and just as I thought it was hopeless I got an idea.
In Mythomagic the giants have like 300 health and 200 attack. Practically indestructible. But, a god and a demigod combined have like infinity health(considering gods are immortal) and like 1000 attack and 500 strategy. So even though this is a long shot, I could maybe call on him. But, I mean, he already helped me today that's more than he's helped in like a year.
But still, it was the only way to do this. I could maybe ask someone to ask their godly parent, but even that would be a long shot. I found Annabeth and Percy trying to strategize.
"We need to get a god on our side," I said like nothing was wrong. They stared at me dumbfounded.
Annabeth broke the immense silence, "Where in Hades' name have you been??!!!" I knew she was generally concerned but she still sounded terrifying.
"Um, I may or may not have accidentally shadow traveled to Vegas where I got a wedding gift from my old pops and found myself with just enough strength to shadow travel back. Then I fell off of my cabin. I found a note in my hand and my sword in my other. I walked around in circles going 'Wi-Will' for a minute or two. Will found me. We argued. I won. Thalia walked up to Will. I hallucinated and wondered if she was single. She told Will he was needed everywhere. Will gave me ambrosia then ran off to go help. I started thinking about Mythomagic. From that, I got the idea that we need a god with us in order to win this, and then I found you." I gasped for breath after saying all of that.
Percy and Annabeth were stunned. They stood in shock for like a good thirty seconds before a loud bellow came from a giant. From the sound the yell, I was thinking it was more annoyed than hurt.
"We need to act fast." Annabeth declared.
"Gee," Percy mumbled, "because we definitely didn't know that." That sarcasm earned him a slap. "Ow!" He muttered.
"Where are we supposed to get a god on such short notice?" Annabeth panicked. It was never good when Annabeth panicked.
"And one who won't kill us on sight," Percy added.
"And one we won't try to kill on sight," I added. We all started thinking.
This was hopeless.
