I was standing in front of my tall mirror trying to tie the stupid bow tie to finish off my stupid tux, when suddenly the door creaked open.  I assumed it was just one of my two overachieving wedding planners so I was just like, "Hey Piper, come on in,"  but Piper didn't answer instead someone walked right up behind me, grabbed my waist, and pulled me close to them.  I immediately knew who it was.

"You know," I said casually, "it's bad luck to see the groom before the wedding." 

"That rule only works for brides."  He always knew what to say of course.  Will Solace, 28 years old 6 foot 3 inches, blond scruffy hair, son of Apollo... everything about him was... perfect.  That's the only way to describe him, well besides super hot. 

Now I know what you're thinking, "Nico, but you're the son of Hades, Dad of Doom, and he's the son of Apollo, bright, happy, sunny, poetic, musically talented, etc."  but it's our differences that make us similar. At least that's what Will said.

"Yeah, well, when it comes to half-bloods like us, we need all the luck we can get." 

"Well, when you're finished praying to Nike, the ceremony starts in five minutes."  He started to turn around.

"Okay, thanks, sure, I'll  be out there, most likely with this thing completely messed up." I gestured helplessly at my bowtie.  Will came back over and gently took the bow from my hands.  He tied it perfectly in less than a minute.

"Now are you ready?"  He asked.  To be honest, that was a tough question.  On the outside, I definitely looked the part.  My hair was combed and gelled back, my tux was slick and awesome. And my shoes weren't too small for me.  But on the inside, there was a huge knot in my stomach, I felt like I hadn't gotten any sleep in weeks (trust me, I know what that feels like) and i was nearly paralyzed with fear.

Will must have sensed my fear because he said calmly, "You'll be fine Nico, everything is going to be fine."  And with that, he walked out of the door.  I turned back to my mirror and took a deep breath telling myself over and over again, you'll be fine, everything's going to be fine.  Finally, I was ready.  I slowly walked out of my little room and waited for Piper to give me the signal.
