Chapter eight

*fast forward to jakes birthday*
*dans pov*
I'm so excited for today but I'm so scared too, I still haven't told Phil that I have to leave today but the worst thing is I have to leave at 12 and jakes party starts at 11. I walk in the the living room to see it all decorated for jakes party I can't believe he is one already. As I walk in Phil looks so happy and know I'm going to ruin it.
"Um Phil honey I have something I have to tell you" I said, Phil turns around and I can tell he could here the sadness in my voice,
"Yeah baby, what's up?"
"Um Phil I don't know how to tell you this but umm.... My 3 months  are up and I have to go back today" I started to cry as he looks at me
"Dan, why didn't you tell me sooner, what time do u have to leave please say it's after jakes party?" He asked me
"Um well that's the thing I have to leave at 12 me and my brother have to leave", Phil just looks at me,
"When will you be coming back?" He asked me
"I'm not sure babe but I'll try my hardest to come back soon" that's when he starts crying and run and hug me, just them jakes comes some what walking in to the room,
"Papa,Dada, why r u sad" he asked lately jakes me speaking more words and for one it's amazing, I pull away from Phils embrace and walk and pick jakes up,
"Dada has to go away for a bit big man" I tell him
"Why Dada?" He asks to innocent
"Dada has to go fight some bad guys so I be gone for a bit but I'll
Be back before you know it" I tell him before kissing his forehead. He smiles and calls for Phil.

*Dans Pov*
I was all dressed in my army uniform ready to leave, Phil told everyone that the party was only going to last for an hour and everyone new why, I look at my watch and realise it's time to leave, Phil told me he would drive me to the airport, once everyone leaves me and my brother put out stuff in the car and we are ready to leave, I put jake in his car seat and we drive to the air port, are a long car ride we arrive and Phil starts to cry.
"Don't cry Papa" jake says god this child is smart for one year old
"I'm okay Buddy go to your dada and kiss him goodbye for now" Phil hands me jake and he kisses my cheek and hands me something, it was a picture of what looks like me, Phil and him holding hands.
"Awe buddy that's amazing when did you do this?" I ask him
"At the party in my room" he says and kisses me again.
"Come on Dan we have to leave or we will miss the plane" my brother tells me, I look at him and he looks so sad I give jakes a another quick kiss and tell him to be a good boy for his papa and that I'll see him soon and then I went to Phil and give him a final kiss before leaving, I got pulled away by my brother and I wave at them both and as I walk away the tears start to flow fast, God I miss them already but if won't be for long coz I've made my decision I'm leaving the army to live my life and have a family.
