CHAPTER 7

"Why am I telling them this? Do I really trust them?"

Can we get back to finding Ultron?

Like god!

We're at a fucking farm?
And doing what?

Are we actually going to do something? What was the point of coming here?
To "lay low", yes... but like why?
I don't get it!

They're heroes and people hate them all the time. (I did) so why now are they waiting till the media calms down?
They're decisions make zero sense sometimes.
Oh well, I'm still stuck on their ride on saving the world.

The Avengers were having a personal meeting downstairs after dinner. I hadn't gone downstairs because I decided to take a nip before dinner and overslept.

I strolled downstairs, not caring about their meeting. The Avengers were spread throughout the entire downstairs (as the living room connected to the table and kitchen)
Lyla and Cooper were saying goodnight to Laura and Clint.
I gave Laura a quick smile and scurried to sit next to Natasha, who was the only one sitting at the table.

She chuckled softly and pointed to the food in the kitchen.
I shook my head and whispered, "I'll eat when the mood isn't so serious."

There was another man who I didn't see earlier. He wore a grey sweater and had a black eye patch over his eye.
He had this energy that radiated off of him that screamed, 'this is serious'
Don't want to get on his nerves.

When I came down, his eye didn't leave me. It was creepy but he seemed shocked I was there.
Maybe he knew who I was.

I thought I'd be an ass and smile, "hi, did I interrupt something? I felt like I needed to know what this all was about."

"it's about Ultron."

"Well I'm helping the team so you can continue on with this meeting."

His face expressed slight shock (and maybe a bit of concern) once again.
What did I do?
Exist?
Sorry about that- not my fault.
Sorry I'm way to powerful for your team.

(Right? That's who this man is, right?)

I leaned closer to Natasha to confirm my thoughts on the man, "who's the asshole pirate?"

She snickered softly before responding, "that is Director Fury. He runs our program."

I rolled my eyes, "seems like an ass"

"Ultron took you folks out of play to buy himself time. My contacts all say he's building something. The amount of Vibranium he made off with, I don't think it's just one thing." Fury said.

"What about Ultron himself?" Steve asked.

"Ah. He's easy to track, he's everywhere." He responded, "Guy's multiplying faster than a Catholic rabbit. Still doesn't help us get an angle on any of his plans though."
