CHAPTER 9

"You're back! And- you're on my side!"

Clint and I arrived to the base and ushered the cradle in toward Bruce and Stark.
"Here you go! One cradle with a deadly robot."

"Thanks."

We pushed the cradle to the middle of the lab. Clint got on top of the cradle and started to feel around.
I stood in front of it, looking Tony and Bruce, up and down. I want to know their plan.

Some want to destroy it but I have that feeling with Stark... that's not going to happen.

"Anything on Nat?" Bruce asked. He must have been nervous about her as he kept fidgeting.
Aww. Poor boy.

"Haven't heard." Tony responded, "But she's alive, or Ultron'd be rubbing our faces in it."

Clint hopped off the cradle, slapping his hand on the lid of the cradle (this scared the shit out of me as I was leaning against it), "This is sealed tight."

"We're going to need to access the program, break it down from within." Bruce explained

"Hmm. Any chance Natasha might leave you a message, outside the internet, old school spy stuff?" Tony turned to Clint.

Bruce played with a screen across the room, probably trying to understand what's up with the cradle.

"There's some nets I can cast. Yeah, alright. I'll find her." Clint rushed down the stairs to find Natasha.

"And me? Anything I can do to help?"

Tony whispered to me, "I'll tell ya in a minute. First we gotta get Bruce on board with this plan."

"So you're not going to destroy it..."

He put one finger over his mouth to signal 'be quiet'. Fine.

You know... Tony isn't as bad as I thought him to be.. a bit egotistical at times and a bit... loud but none the less... a nice man at heart.

"I can work on tissue degeneration, if you can fry whatever operational system Cho implanted." Bruce said, pressing a couple buttons.

Tony scratched his head, "Yeah, about that."

Bruce looked up from the cradle and toward Tony. He must have known exactly what he was thinking.
Don't destroy it.

"No."

"You have to trust me." Tony pleaded.

"Kinda don't." Bruce threw his hands in the air, walking away.

"Look, the Little Magician trusts me!" Tony turned back and waved his hand toward me.

"That's different."

"Is it really though?"

I rolled my eyes, "I'm right here and I didn't agree outright to it. I said I'd hear you out."
