A Different Kind Of Love

Omniscient  POV

The events of last night led August to believe that he might never get another chance with Aaliyah. He didn't know if he should really give up or try to convince her. It's obvious he still loves her but how can he make her realize that? She was way too caught up with David to even give him the time of day.

"Goodmorning." Aaliyah greets but stop her movements when she saw August with a beautiful girl 

"Hi I'm Adriana, August's physical therapist." She introduces holding her hand out

"I'm Aa-"

"Aaliyah, right?" She cuts me off and I nodded

"August told me." She smiles

"Um... Okay, I'll leave you guys alone then." Aaliyah forces a smile walking into the kitchen

"Good morning Aaliyah." Maria greets

"Hi Maria, I didn't know you were here." Aaliyah says grabbing a box of cheerios

"I just came and do you want me to make you some breakfast." Maria asks

"Thanks Maria but I'll just have some cereal." Aaliyah says grabbing the milk

"Alright love, let me know when you need something." She smiles exiting the room

Aaliyah didn't want to admit it but she didn't like August's PT even though she had no reason to. She seems nice but her and August is getting along too good. There's a lot flirting than what was suppose to be happening. She didn't like the constant touching, smiles or winking that was being exchanged between the two.

After a few minutes of watching them, Aaliyah couldn't stand it anymore. Why it bothered her, is unknown to her but she knew she didn't like see August be that way with another woman. Of course she brush those feelings off and call David.

August's POV

I can't seem to have a good day. I was enjoying my session with Adriana when David came to get Aaliyah. It's like she didn't care that I was here while they were all over each other. It's been more than a year but it still hurts to see her with someone else and the fact that she's trying to act like nothing ever happened between us. The start wasn't great but my feelings for her were real the entire time.

"Hey ma" I greet her with a hug and a kiss on the cheek 

"Nice to see you too Aug." Symone smiles giving me a sideways hug and did a little handshake with Trey

"Where's Aaliyah?" Ma asks taking a seat next to me

"I don't know." I mumble

"She's out with David." Symone smirks making me glare at her
