A Different Kind Of Love

Recap:

After a long drive, I pulled up in August's driveway and turn the engine off. I took a deep breath while checking myself in the mirror. A minute of coaching myself on what to say, I pull my hood over my head before rushing out the car. My hand went to ring the doorbell when I realized the door was open. I entered then closing the door behind me.

I walked slowly down the small passage into the living room, I lift my eyes up from the floor to see a sight that made me regret coming here.

Adrianna straddling August on the couch.

Omniscient POV

"So much for a second chance..." Aaliyah said. 

"Goodbye August."

"Aaliyah wait" August shouted running after her

"No, I'm so tired of this August. I came here because I made a choice and of course I was stupid enough to believe that you actually changed. I gave up someone who actually cares for me to come back to you, only to be proven that you can't and won't ever change." Aaliyah said tears running down her cheeks that's already wet from the rain. 

"You think I don't care for you?"

 "If you do, you have a real funny way of showing it."

"Do you think I would've spent almost three years of my life chasing after someone I didn't care for?" August said his voice deep with emotion

"Is that suppose to be a trick question?" Aaliyah asks arching her eyebrow

"Can you for once listen to me?" August groans

"Look where listening to you got me in the first place." Aaliyah says rolling her eyes

"I don't have time for this August. I didn't come here to argue, I came-"

"What did you come here to do?"

"It doesn't matter."

"It does-"

"It doesn't August!" When are you going to realize that you're holding on to nothing. We over and that's the way it should be. I love you and I probably always will but there's no more us and you need to understand that." Aaliyah sighs wrapping her arms around herself

"I spent a long time trying to get you back but you wouldn't listen and now that we're here you're going to shut the hell up and listen."

"Who are you-""Aaliyah." August growls gripping her arm firmly

 "I never thought it was possible to love someone too much but then again maybe it is. I can't change our past no matter how much I would like to. I was stupid enough to make you apart of a bet because I was scared of how I felt for someone in such a short time. I didn't know what to do and even though that doesn't excuse what I did, Aaliyah I will spend the rest of my life trying to make you forgive me while showing how much I love you. We are inevitable and no matter what you say or where you go, I'll be there because you're it for me. Liyah, you're all I ever wanted. I love every part of you and I'll never stop."

"Action speaks louder than words August." She sighed tears filled her eyes

August stared at the woman he loves desperately wanting forgiveness so they can move on. He hurted her one too many times and he made a promise to himself that this will be the last time.

"I love you so much Aaliyah Lauren Mitchell." August said his eyes never leaving hers. "I'm not letting you go and that's a promise." He says pressing his lips to hers.

"Come on." He said pulling her back towards his house

"August, I don't want to go back in there." She sighed pulling away from his hand.

"I need you to see this so we can move forward." He said and she sighed following him back into the house.

"August, baby your back." Adrianna said getting off the couch but stopped abruptly when she saw his arm around Aaliyah.

"Look Adrianna, I'm sorry if I lead you on somehow but I told you I had someone, so you gotta bounce." He says then turn back to Aaliyah

"Liyah I promise you that she came onto me. I was trying to get advice on how to fix things with you then she just hopped on me and started kissing me and shit. Babygirl I would never do that to you, please believe me." August plead 

"How can I be sure August?" Aaliyah questions

"Adrianna tell her exactly what happened now." August glared at the sorrow-filled woman.

"He's tell you the truth and I'm sorry for the trouble I caused, but August is really a wonderful man so I would hold on to him if I were you." Adrianna smile grabbing her purse walking pass them

"Thank you Adri." August smiles and she nodded before disappearing down the hall.

"So?"

"I guess I better hold on to you real tight." Aaliyah smiles wrapping her around his neck

"I'm not going anywhere regardless." August grins

"God I love you so much." He said lifting her up then pressing his lips to hers.

"I love you too." Aaliyah laughs contently

"Aaliyah." She heard a familiar voice calling her

"Huh?"

"Wake up." The voice said again.

I am a wake.

"Wake the fuck up." The familiar voice got louder

"What?" She felt cold water causing her to scream out.

"Finally?" Alex says

"Where am I?" Aaliyah questions looking around.

Where's August?

"I didn't think you would care after what happened last?"

Did I say that out loud?

"Yes and are you okay?" 

"I don't know. How did I end up back here?"

"After the party-"

"Party. What party?" Aaliyah asked frantically 

"You don't remember?" Symone questions worriedly

"Remember what and why does my head hurt so bad?" She groans rubbing her temple

"August's party last night-"

"He had a party?"

What the hell is happening... Did I really dream everything??

"Dreamt what?" Symone question

Oh my god... everything was a fucking dream.
