I sit frozen in the passenger seat as Mr. Burke quickly leaves my property. My anxiety levels rise once again and the same heated feeling begins to rise in my body.

Oh no. I think. Not again.

I clench my hands together tightly and wince as the power flows through me.

"Alliana you're really going to have to learn to control yourself if you don't want to create a scene at the coronation."

"I-I can't." My voice is strained.

He laughs in response."Well, of course you can. If that idiot Klaus can keep himself in check, I expect to be able to do it twice as well, Ms. Nixon."

"You k-k about Klaus?"

His eyes leave the road for a moment and he presses a button on his dash board. Autopilot engaged. The car dings and he proceeds to face me entirely.

"I am very observant Ms. Nixon. There's no secret that stays hidden for long, and, when they reveal themselves, I'm always waiting."

I groan out in pain.

"Control over these sorts of abilities is very simple." Mr. Burke begins."You need to find a focal point, something to feed your power into. An anchor if you will."

I close my eyes and attempt to find a place of stress relief. My pain levels don't change, in fact, they get worse."I-I don't have-"

"Believe me Ms. Nixon, you do, you merely need to search a bit harder."

My eyes close and begin to sort through my subconscious. Images of my childhood and school years flash across my vision. No memory stands out to me. The pain throbs with the need to be releasedIn the form of the white light.

Focus. I tell myself. Find your anchor.

A sudden feeling of relief comes over me as a voice sounds in the back of my head. My eyes shut and I fall into a black and compelling dreamlike state.

I let the voice lead me deep into my subconscious.

Alliana

It's louder now, and so smooth that I find myself drifting deeper.

An image begins to surface. A moonlit sky with millions of stars dancing overhead. I look down and see my bare feet tangled in vibrantly green grass. A white dress hangs loosely on my tall frame.

Alliana

I turn my head to the direction of the voice and find no one behind me but the trees of the surrounding forest.

"Hello?" I say to no one in particular.

No response.

I'm beckoned again, however, this time it feels as though I'm being lead by the voice.

Not seeing an alternative. I begin to walk.

After a few minutes I come to a clearing near a cliffs edge. But the strangest part of it all is the beautifully stitched blanket that is sprawled across the ground.

Rose petals are scattered across it and around there surrounding area. I follow the trail of petals to the blanket and stand before it, looking out over the cliff.

A beautiful body of water flows and its water is as fluorescent blue as the grass was green.

Memorized by the sight behind me, I hardly notice the shift in the atmosphere as the air thickens and a heat becomes present in my body.
