Bellamy walked to Octavia's school to pick her up from the kindergarten area after her first day of school. He had been late to his school so he could make sure she wasn't scared and that she was ok. He was only 14 himself. As expected he had gotten into a fight with her new teacher. Claiming she needed to see the parent.
"I am the parent! He yelled at her. I'm all she has and she is all I have and there is no way in hell anything is ever gong to change that! So you will be seeing ME every single day! Dropping her off and picking her up!" He yelled.
*End of the day*
He walks over to Octavia who barely noticed him. He crouched down beside her.
"Hey O!" He beamed at his little sister.
"Belllllll!" She screamed and hugged him tightly around his neck.
"How was your first day of school?" He said laughing as he fell back.
Octavia grinned "Good! I made a new best friend!"
He chuckled. Of corse she did, she was a social butterfly.
"This is Clarke. Can she come over for a play date?" Octavia asked in her tiny yet sting kindergartener voice.
"Sorry O I don't know her parents and I don't think they would be cool with that." He explained looking down at her as he stood to walk her home.
"She said her parents don't care." Octavia pleaded.
"I doubt that." He looked at the little blonde with big blue eyes. He sighed.
"I could call them but no promises." He said.
They both started cheering, giggling and looked like they had just won the lottery.
"Do you know your parents phone number?" He asked Clarke.
"Yes." She said confidently. She took the phone out of his hand and started to dial the number.'Ballsy.' He thought to himself. She looks older than O? Are they even in the same class? Whoever she was trying to reach picked up. A groggy voice yelled into the phone. "What?!?!" He overheard whoever it was yell. "Mom it's me, Clarke." The voice groaned. "What do you want. Can't you walk home?"Bellamy was shocked. The kid couldn't be any older than 8. And that was high balling. The kid was right, Clarke. Her mom really didn't care. Not about her at least. "I want to go to my best friends house." Clarke said. "Fine. Whatever" her mom groaned. Then the line went dead. Her mom hung up. Clarke grinned. "I can go!" Bellamy sighed. "Alright."

They left the school and headed home. Bellamy didn't realize that was the first day of a very good friendship. Or that it would be a usual thing for Clarke to stay for dinner. He picked them both up and even started to drop them both off. Clarke didn't live too far so they picked her up on the way. She always waited outside. They never actually set foot in her house. One day when they went to pick Clarke up Octavia asked why. Bellamy was also curious so he let her rudeness slide. "Trust me its really not that great in there. And it's not even pretty like your house is." Clarke shrugged her shoulders. "Our house is pretty?" Bellamy smirked as he looked at her. Clarke looked up at him. "Yeah! I mean it's a lot nicer in your kitchen than mine, and everywhere really. It's always clean at your house and dirty at my house." He guessed her mother didn't do the whole cleaning thing like he did. They walked to school in silence. When they got to the school Bellamy dropped them both off kissing Octavia on the top of the head and saying goodbye to the both. "Love you O! I'll see you both at the end of the day ok?" "Ok!" They said in unison.
He turned to leave. Then he saw the teacher walk over to him. Oh brother he thought. Now I'm going to be late for school because I will have to have another argument with this new teacher. He hadn't seen her before. He saw the others but they avoided him ever since the first day of school incident. "You drop them off and pick them up everyday." She commented raising an eye brow. "Where's their parents?"

He sighed exasperated. "Listen here is all you need to know? Our parents are always out." He lied "So I drop off and pick up my sister. Clarke lives next door so she comes with us. It's easier for her parents." Another lie. He could tell she knew he was lying but she didn't say anything for a moment. "I'm not like the other teachers. Ok. I get it. My life was tough as a kid too so I won't give you any crap. I respect you a ton that you are raising your sister." He was shocked but didn't say anything about it. "Excuse me I have to get to school before I'm late." "I can drive you if you want?" She offered. "I don't take handouts." He said sternly. She smiled. "I didn't think so. I'll see you at the end of the day" she said then turned around.
