"Wanda, it would best for us to get up and do something profitable," Vision suggested, tugging at the collar of his shirt.
"But Viz," Wanda began, grabbing the remote, "we still have three episodes left."
"Director Fury said--"
"Director Fury does not determine our lives, Vision."
"Actually--"
"Not my point, Viz," Wanda murmured, scooting closer to him and pulling up the blanket. Vision, caught off guard, froze for a second before wrapping an arm around Wanda. She smiled and hummed a little, resting her head on his shoulder. Tracing a finger from her forehead to her cheekbone, Vision stared at her intently; blue, calculating eyes locking with large, brown ones.
"Wanda?"
"Yes, Vision?"
"Are you still afraid of hurting others?"
"I'll always be afraid of hurting someone else Vision. I even hurt you."
"Wanda, you had to. I was... I was hurting Clint."
"That was a hard time for both of us, for all of us. Don't do that to yourself."
"And the same goes for you, Wanda. There are a lot of people out there who can be hurt, and some days, none of those people are harmed. But other days, people get hurt. But there are also the people you saved. Remember those, Wanda."
Vision pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, bringing her closer and wrapping her in his arms. Tears were streaming down her face, though she didn't know why. She wanted closure for the deaths she caused, but she also knew that there were casualties in every war; and she was in the middle of one. Wanda didn't know who was the enemy was; it seemed to change daily. And sometimes, sometimes there wasn't a black and white, yes or no answer, sometimes the person you're fighting against is the person you're curled up against and binge watching Sherlock with.
Sometimes it hurts. And sometimes fighting someone else feels so good you scare yourself.
"Viz, I'm scared."
"Why are you scared, Wanda?"
"Because sometimes I want to hurt someone else."
"Wanda, everyone feels that way at some point, simply because they get attached to other people."
"How would you know?"
"Because I've watched it happen. I've felt it happen."
"When?"
"When I saw you get hurt."
