                     FLASHBACK

It all started out when we were young. Actually, I was just born, and you were 5 months old. Your mom came into the hospital room congratulating my mom. That was the first time I ever saw you.

The next couple of years, we were always with each other. Well, I should say our parents were always together and we tagged along, without any choice that is. You were my best friend. You always have been. Until one day, when I found out I was moving. My dad told me he was being transferred over to San Francisco, California. That was when I was 5. All I remember is running out the back door to your house. You came outside and asked me what was wrong. I started crying right then and there. I didn't want to move. I didn't want to leave the place I had grow to love. You grabbed my hand and led me to our favorite place. The meadow out by the creek in the woods. There was the most beautiful flowers back there. The creek was perfect. It wasn't to shallow or to deep. It's sparkling, clear water shimmered from the sun. Old Willow trees circled around us. It was perfect. You told me everything would be okay and then... I left.

                       END OF FLASHBACK

                      SAMANTHA'S POINT OF VIEW:

I woke up to my alarm clock being as annoying as ever. I reached over and pressed the snooze button. All I needed was 10 more minutes of sleep, but sadly my mom came in.

"Samantha! Get out of bed already! We have to leave in an hour!" she yelled to me. I flung the covers over me, looking around my room. It was empty. Everything was packed in boxes. I was moving... AGAIN. I look down to my nightstand where my iPhone was laying. I grabbed it and checked it. I had 13 messages and 5 missed calls. I decided not to read them right that moment because I didn't want my mom coming in and yelling at me for "always being on my phone". Instead, I grabbed everything else the was on my nightstand and packed it away inside a box. I walked to the bathroom, and started getting ready for the day. I brushed my long, brown hair and let it fall to my shoulders. I put on my white, lace tank top that always made me look tanner, and my navy blue, short shorts with my favorite lace belt. Then, I packed all of my bathroom stuff away, and sighed. I wish I could just stay in one place for the rest of my life. I watched as the movers came in and moved all my furniture out of what used to be my bedroom. I walked down the stairs with my white, Aeropostale shoulder bag. The house was empty. I heard the sound of our car horn outside. "Well, here we go again...," I mumbled to myself as I walked out of what was my front door and got inside a blue, 2009 Kia, and drove away from what had been my house for the past 10 years. I was really gonna miss it...

We got to our new house about noon, 2 days later. For some reason this house looked EXTREMELY familiar. White lining, woods in the back, huge backyard, a tire swing hanging from the tree limb. I knew this place. This was my first house. I turned to my dad.

"Dad, this is our old house?"

"Feels good to be home, doesn't it," he said back to me.

"Yeah... I guess. Why'd we move back?," I asked him.

"Well, we knew how much it hurt you to move away and you haven't been the same since we did move, so I looked for an opportunity to move back." he said while smiling at me. I looked up at him confused and not knowing what he was talking about. Instead of asking what he was talking about, I decided to just smile and nod. It seemed for the best. I turned to see a bunch of movers moving my furniture back into the house. I had to admit, I felt a lot better in this house then the other, but still, I missed the other one. Oh well. I guess it was time to start my new life...
