We walked out of the house with very few words said. I felt really awkward being with someone that I don't even remember. "Soooo," I hear him say, breaking the awkwardness.

"Soooo," I say as I sit down on the porch swing.

"How's Grace?," he asked catching me off guard. I didn't think he'd remember Grace. I didn't even think he remembered me.

"She good. Still as annoying as ever," I say with a laugh.

"I remember when we would..," he was cut off by the sound of Grace calling my name. Actually, calling isn't the right word. Screaming my name. I hear the door slam as I know that she's coming to kill me for Harry Styles not being in our living room. I look over at James as he looks at me confused. "Is that...,"

"C'mon!," I said with a laugh. I grabbed his hand and we took off running away from Grace. We ran straight past my huge backyard and into the woods. I hid behind a tree, and he hid with me. If Grace was looking hard, she could've found us, without a doubt. Instead, I watched her as she came into the backyard and looked around. After, a few minutes she went back inside. I laughed a bit and said, "Sorry about that. We can go back up there now." I turned and started walking back to the house when I felt someone grab my hand. I turned and see James. His sweet smile looking down at me.

"No. You drug me somewhere. Now, I get to drag you somewhere," he said with a bit of laughter. I gave him a weird look, but let him lead me farther into the woods. What was I doing? I was letting someone I barely know lead me back into the woods. I guess he kinda noticed to. "Don't worry," he said. "I promise you. I'm not going to hurt you in anyway." And with that, I had to laugh. He seemed to know me so well. I felt super comfortable with him. It was kinda creepy. We kept on walking for about 5-10 more minutes. We finally made it to this beautiful meadow. Daisies, Tulips, There was a creek in the middle of it. It's water sparkled. It looked so refreshing. "Look familiar?" he asked me with his smile.

"Oh my gosh..." was all I could get out. All these memories where coming back to me now. When me and James played tag back here. When one of our parents would be fighting we would comeback here. There was to many memories to even tell. I smiled at James as he nudged me with his elbow. I take a seat in the spot I always used to sit in.

"So how've you been?" James asked me.

"Eh. I wish I could just stay in one place for once. But... I don't know. There's something about this place that makes me feel... different." I said feeling stupid. I was so lame.

"I know what you mean. Me and my girlfriend took a vacation last year, and it just felt so weird. I came back and it was like I belong here... I know that sounds really stupid bu-"

"Not at all. That's kinda how I feel," I said looking down. "So, who's this girl, Jamesy?" I said while winking at him.

He started laughing at me. "Well, her name is Emily. We've been together for about 1 and a half years, and she's the head cheerleader of our school."

"Ahh. Somebody's got a cheerleader," I said jokingly. He looked up at me and laughed. "Well, I hope I'll get to meet her soon," I said with a smile.

"You will," he said with a smile. We stood there and stared at each other without saying anything. "Umm.. We should... We should head back to the house," he said breaking the silence. I nodded my head in agreement as I watched him stand up. He held out his hand to help me up, and I grabbed it. We walked back to the house not saying one word. What just happened? What was that? He looked over at me and smiled. "Thinking enough, are ya?," he said jokingly. I laughed and smiled at him. "Hey, what's your number? Then if I ever want to go back to the woods, I'll shoot you a text." He took his phone out of his pocket and held it out for me to put my number in. I handed his phone back to him as he held my front door open for me.

"SAMANTHA!" I heard Grace yell. I took off running down the stairs and locked myself in my bed room. She banged on the door and kept trying to knock it down. There is no way she's getting in here. I walked over to my desk and grabbed my phone. I never did check my messages from the other day. I now had 29 messages and 8 missed calls.

From: Jacob <3 (3 missed calls)

Hey.

Fine. Don't answer. Whatever.

I love how you move and then decide not to even talk to me. You're cool.

Whatever. Bye, bitch.

Hey... Sorry about last night. I was a little drunk. Sleep well princess. <3

I swear. He could be the biggest jerk sometime, but he can always make up for it.

To: Jacob <3

Hey. I love how I move and you call me a female dog. (did I mention I don't cuss) You really should be sorry, Jacob. Bye.

The other messages, and calls were all from my friends back in Cali telling me goodbye. I really missed them. Suddenly, I got a text from an unknown number. Except, I knew exactly who it was.

From: Unknown

Are you dead? ;)

To: Unknown

Yes. Totally. ;)

From: Unknown

Well, RIP. I have homework so I should go. I'll come by tomorrow and help you unpack more. See ya, Sammy :)

I have not been called Sammy in so long. Actually, he's the only one that calls me 'Sammy'. I had to laugh at that message. He had such a great sense of humor. I laid down on my bed and saved his number to my phone. Then, I slowly fell asleep.
