I tried to stay quiet so I wouldn't ruin the movie for James. I wiped a tear that was going down my face. I absolutely hate crying infront of people. I started watching the movie again and tried to get my mind off everything. It wasn't working though.
"James, I'm going to head home", I said while getting up, avoiding eye contact.
"Why? Samantha, what's going on?", I heard him say as I dashed down the stairs. I knew he was following me, but I couldn't hold back the tears. "Samantha", he said more concerned this time. He put his hand on the door, not allowing me to leave. I slowly turned around. I could feel his eyes staring down at me. I just stood there, starring at the ground. "Samantha, you know you can tell me anything", I heard him whisper as he put his hands on my shoulder. I sighed, finally giving in. I took out my phone and pulled up the message. I saw his eyes turn to a sympothy look.
"Don't look at me like that. I hate sympothy, that's why I didn't want to show you. I'll be fine, James". I tried to turn and walk out the door, but instead I got two arms around my waist. I bit my lip trying not to cry.
"I know you're not fine. You say that, but your eyes say different. It's not every day you see a picture of your boyfriend inside another girl", I flinched at the words. How could he? How could he have sex with another girl and not feel guilty? "But I want you to know, I will always be there for you if you ever need a shoulder to cry on. No matter what time, what day. No matter where I am, I will be right beside you. Forever and Always". When he said those last three words, I turned around and hugged him. I felt him wrap his arms around me and hold me. I couldn't hold back the tears anymore. I cried and cried and he just held me. I couldn't believe it. I've never had a guy treat me like he does. We stood there for about an hour, until I finally pulled away. I wiped away a tear and smiled.
"Thank you".
"You don't need to thank me", he said taking his thumb and wiping away the rest of my tears and kissing my forehead, "I'm always here for you".
