I sighed as I flipped to the next page of my notebook, continuing to reread about the culture and humans of South Africa. I'm majoring in Anthropology here at Columbia and I absolutely love it so far! A lot of people don't know what anthropology is; I've probably told Calum what it is a million times. Basically it's the study of humankind and the cultures across the world. There's many different types of anthropology, there's linguistic, cultural, biological, and archeological. I'm studying to be a cultural anthropologist.

Anyway, I have a test in one of my classes tomorrow and it'd be an understatement to say I'm nervous. I'm having really bad anxiety about it and have been studying for four hours now. This professor is practically known for hard tests, and the last thing I want to do is fail. No one at Ivy League schools fail anything.

I have really bad anxiety as it is, which I take medication for. You could say I have a phobia of failure. I've always been good at the things I do. Whether it's academics, volleyball, or instruments, (I play piano and violin) and I've never failed at anything I love. I mean yeah, I'm obviously bad at stuff, for example, I'm terrible at singing and running fast. I'm good at the things I like, is what I mean. My whole life I've never gotten a grade worse than a B, and I intend to keep it that way throughout college.

"Hey bookworm."

I jumped, not knowing Calum was here. "Why are you always popping up out of no where?" I laughed.

He took a seat next to me on my bed, putting his arm around me. "I like surprises. What are you doing?"

"Studying, I have a test tomorrow in my cultural class."

"And you've been studying for a while now, haven't you?" Calum asked me. When I nodded, he nodded as well and took the pile of papers and books off my lap and placed them on my desk. "I think you deserve a study break."

"Calum I can't fail, I need to study," I reached for my things, but he pulled me back.

"You also need to relax," he told me, pulling me close to him. "You look so frazzled. Have you even taken a break yet?" I shook my head. "Tatum, studying without breaks isn't all that effective. You need a break."

I sighed, running my hand through my probably gross hair. "I guess you're right. 10 minutes."

Calum kissed me gently, and then without taking his lips off mine much, he said, "I'll take what I can get." He then kissed me again, this time it was a much stronger, passionate kiss. "Is Maddy here?"

I replied, also barely taking my lips way from his, "She went home for an early weekend. Doesn't have class tomorrow." My lips moved along with his and my hands tangled through his hair. He rubbed my back under my shirt as he slipped his tongue through my mouth without any fight from me. As we continued to kiss, I tugged on the hem of Calum's shirt. Soon enough he got the memo and took it off quickly, tossing it wherever. He kissed me once more and then brought his lips to my neck. As he kissed and nibbled, I let a moan escape my lips. I wasn't sure if it was because of the hickey he was working on, or if it was because as he did that, he grabbed my butt.

I felt him smirk as the moan came out, which made me blush. Soon Calum came back from my neck to my lips again. He readjusted our position from sitting and leaning against the wall to laying down, him on top of me.

"You are so perfect, Tatum. Never forget that," he told me, then leaned down to kiss my jawline. "I love you so much."

I ran my hands down his bare stomach, tracing his abs. "I love you even more, Calum."

We made out some more for about five more minutes, me taking my shirt off and him taking his jeans off, until there was a knock on the door. I gasped, taken by surprise and quickly reached for my shirt. I tossed Calum his jeans as he was pulling his flannel on and called out, "One second!"
