|calum|a few weeks later- December 22nd|
"Thank you, Los Angeles! You guys have been nothing but amazing!" Luke exclaimed.
The thousands of fans in the arena screamed as loud as they could. "We have one last song for you guys, so lets make it a good one!" Michael told them, playing a random riff on his guitar.
"LA, this is our new song, Girls Talk Boys!" I yelled, causing the crowd to scream even louder, if it was possible.
As we sang the song, I kept my eyes on Tatum, who was in the front row. Since a few weeks ago when we worked everything out, we have been doing incredibly well. Better than ever. It's December, Christmas is next week, and Tatum is on her winter break. We've been doing a little mini tour around the US just for fun, so when she finished all of her exams, she flew to wherever the hell we were at the time and has been with us since then. We are going to be spending Christmas together, the five of us. Tonight is out last show of the little tour, and tomorrow morning us five are off to the homeland, Sydney, Australia. Tatum is gonna spend a late Christmas with her parents once we get back to the states.
We finished off the song and thanked the fans once more. We bowed, Ash threw his drum sticks, we ran off the stage. Back in our dressing room, we all hopped on the couches, chugging down water.
"That was an awesome show, you guys!" Michael said after he practically drank his whole water bottle in one swallow, then threw the bottle at Luke's face.
"I know! I'm so excited to get back home tomorrow, though," Ashton smiled. We all nodded, then began to think of going home.
We rarely see our families anymore, so when we get the chance, it's all we can think about for months before. We love what we do, we wouldn't trade it for the world. But sometimes you get so homesick and aren't yourself. That's one of the many many reasons I'm so thankful for Tatum. She's like my home away from home. But not just for me, I think the boys think of her as another home, too. She's been with us for over a year now and is one of the only stable and constant things in our lives right now. I love her so much, we all do.
Speaking of Tatum, just a few minutes later the door opens and in she walks. "Hey guys! Great job out there tonight, that might have been one of the best shows of yours I've been to!"
She put her bag down on the coffee table and sat down next to me. I put my arm around her but she quickly pulled away, "You smell so bad, Cal!" she claimed.
"That is the scent of a man," I said in a really deep voice. She fake gagged and the four of us all laughed at her.
//
"Holy moly it's hot!" Tatum exclaimed as we stepped out of the airport doors and into the hot Sydney air. "I always forget that it's summer here at this time."
We all laughed at her and watched as she pulled her sweatshirt off.
Then we began to look around for Jack and Ben, Luke's brothers, who were going to pick us up from the airport. We soon found the black suburban and made our way to it. As we approached it the two of them climbed out the car and greeted the five of us. Tatum had met them already, she had met all of our families multiple times. And to say the least, they all adore her.
//
"Tatum!" Mali exclaimed as soon as we walked through the door. She made a beeline to her and they hugged, jumping up and down in that girly way.
"Nice to see you too, Mali," I mumbled, laughing a little. She yelled a quick shut up and I rolled my eyes, going to hug my parents.
After all the greetings were had, we filed into the Clifford's living room. On the coffee table were chips, dips, and plenty more appetizers. Tatum and I found our way to the love seat sofa with a plate of barbecue wienies. "Mmmm, wienies in a barbecued variety, my favorite!" Luke had exclaimed as he also filled his plate with them.
We spent a few hours of just talking. The boys and I talked about our mini tour and Tatum talked about her classes at Columbia. Many beers were drank and a lot of food was eaten.

Back at my house, it's now about two am. We just got back from Michael's house about a half hour ago. In a summary of the night: all the parents got drunk, so did Mali, Ben, and Celeste. Despite the fact I was a little embarrassed of how crazy my parents and sister act when they are drunk, Tatum absolutely loved it.
Tatum and I are in my room after finally getting my family into their beds. "I had so much fun tonight," she stated as she walked out of my bathroom, in the middle of tying her hair into a bun. She was wearing one of my old t-shirts, which was a little long on her, and I could see her cheeky underwear peeking out from underneath the shirt.
"Our families are crazy," I chuckled, shaking my head.
"I wish my family was like yours. I wish my parents were like your parents," she told me. "You have such fun parents, mine are pretty boring."
She sat down on my bed, crawling under the covers. I followed her actions and then peeled my shirt off, throwing it to the floor. Laying down, my arms snuck their way around her waist.
We sat in a silence for a while, and I couldn't tell if she was asleep. Until she whispered, "Cal? Are you asleep?"
"No, are you?"
"What do you think?" she said, and even though her back was to me, I could tell that she had probably rolled her eyes.
She then turned to face me. Somehow, even though the lights were off, I could see her perfectly clearly. "You are so damn beautiful," I stated, tucking hair behind her ear.

|tatum|the next day|
"And at that park, underneath the slide, is where I had my first kiss. I was seven and it was with a red head named Macy Green," Calum pointed to the big blue slide. Him and I were driving around West Sydney, he was showing me around and telling me about big parts of his childhood. "Then after that day she never talked to me again. I was surrounded by fuckgirls since day one."
We drove on, slowing down at different places like the little diner in town where he used to go and sing on the stage, past the elementary school, and more. It was so cool to catch a glimpse of his life before the band, seeing what made him who he is today. As we looked at all the places and he told me stories, I couldn't believe this was my life now. My boyfriend, the love of my life, is someone I idolized and swooned over not long ago. And now here we are.
After he finished showing me things, we decided to go back to his house. The ride home was silent, but it was okay. Because anything that needed to be said was spoken in our body language, the way his hand rested on my knee and the way we would make casual eye contact and smile every once in a while.
