Chapter Twenty
Staying on a classroom with Ian isn't just right. It's our Chem class. I plan ways on how to tell it to him. But I saw them looking at each other wrongly and still not talking. I should probably just talk to him when they're cool.
But when will it be?
I won't spoil this time. Unlike what happened to Cindy and when she saw that stupid newspaper journal.
At lunch, I eat with Ian and his football team in their lunch table. It's awkward because of his guy friends, but I actually got along with them. They are fun to be with and we tell jokes at each other.
Later that lunch, I plan to sit by the table where Cindy, Anna, and Mia are.
"Hi, girls." I said approaching.
"Hello." They said. I notice that Grace isn't there.
I sit next to Cindy. "So where is Grace?"
"Do you really need to ask that?" Mia say pointing to the table where Grace and Justin are.
"Ohh they're doing great huh?"
"Yes." Anna say.
Grace caught us looking to them so she come to our table.
"Hey." She say.
"Hi." I smile.
"Want to come over my house tonight? I'm so dying with exams." She complain and invites at the same time.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that! I still have training to go to." We have this big-deal test tomorrow, but before I can go home and study, I still need to attend my training. I have a competition next week!
"How about you, guys?" She looks at Mia, Anna, and Cindy.
"Sure. Need help to study too." Mia said.
"Me too. I can go." Anna said.
I look at Cindy. "How about you?"
She pause for a moment and smile. "I can't. I promise my mom that we'll have dinner tonight." She say.
I sneer to her. "Your mom? Or..."
"Okay, you hiding something to us? Share it!" Grace says as she sits.
Cindy raise an eyebrow to me. "Well it is really my mom." She blushes.
"But..." Mia raise her eyebrows too. Ugh I hate eyebrows.
"Hmm," She looks at me and I simply shrug. "Okay, Annie brought me to kinda blind date―"
"It's not a blind date! You knew about him already!" I correct her.
"Yes, but not personally."
"Wait, who is this guy, anyway?" Grace sounds excited.
"Well his name is Jace." Cindy said shortly.
"Aw, what a wonderful name! You know Jace from The Mortal Instruments?" Anna said.
"You mean the movie?" Mia asks.
Anna looks disappointed. "The book series, I mean."
"So what does he look like?" Grace asks again.
"Well..." Cindy thinks.
"He's handsome. Totally. And a little taller than her." I continued for her.
"I want to meet him! You should let us meet him, promise?" Grace say.
"Sure." Cindy smile. "But you must let us know your new boyfriend."
