You were enjoying tea with you're mother when a sudden question popped into your mind.
"Mother, will I ever be able to perform at Opera Popular?" You shifted your gaze to your mother.
" Y/n we've talked about this before, I'm trying the best I can to support the family." mother sighed
" I've been working hard to mom?" You sipped your tea. A happy look formed on your mothers face.
" I know you have been working hard." Mother smiled. You smiled to you've been working odd jobs under the table to support the family. It's been hard living without a father for so long. You
set down your tea and stood up, getting the wrinkles out of your dress." Where are you going sweet heart?" Your curious mother asked.
" I'm going to go see father." You put your coat on.
" Don't be long." Mother stated. You looked at her you speed out the door. The cemetery wasn't far, so you just walked. It was freezing out but nothing was getting in your way of seeing your father. You walked to his grave.
" Hello father." You looked down at the tomb. You wish you could hear his voice say something back. You set the rose down on his grave.
" Love you." Tears fell from from your eyes. I started to walk home when you heard a sound, a voice. You decided to run. You got home, but before you could run past your mother she stopped you.
"What is going on?" You mother stepped in front of you.
"I heard a voice that called to me." You panted. Your mother gave you a look.
"It could have been the wind." Your mother stated.
"No, I clearly heard y/n." You fought. You went up to your room and shut the door. You sat down in your knees and thought about the voice that you heard. It sounded soft, it sounded broken. You sat down on your bed and brought out a book. Your mother came to give you a good night kiss.
"Night my sweetheart." Mom kissed my forehead. You got dressed in your pajamas and went to sleep. You tossed and turned all night thinking about the voice and how you want to perform at Opera Popular. You thought about running away to fulfill your dream. You lodged the thought in the back of your mind, your mother would be worried if you ran away. Once you lodged it in the back of your mind you fell asleep.
You woke up to the sweet smell of tea brewing in the kitchen. You walked down the stairs to see your mother brewing tea and preparing bagels for breakfast.
"Morning mother." You smiled
"Morning, how did you sleep?" Mother asked.
"Terrible actually." You go near the table.
"Did you have another nightmare?" Mother asked.
"Ya, I dreamed that I was going to run away." You picked up your bagel.
"I wonder why." Your mother sat next to you.
"I don't know." You lied, it was really because you wanted to fulfill your dream. You sipped your tea but kept silent.
"Dear, this is not like you, have run out of things to say?"
"I guess." You shrugged. You looked out side, it was raining as usual. You got up and opened the door.
"I'm going to go see father." You smiled.
"Get on your coat."
"Yes mam." You put on your coat and hurried outside.
