They, the cool kids, would be watching and he'd do anything to be with them.
the field was muddy because it had rained yesterday, and the boy he pushed fell straight into a muddy puddle. everyone cheered, and jace (one of them) even patted his back.
And he felt good. he felt like he belonged. until he looked at the startled boy on the ground and then felt a twinge of guilt.
But he didn't want to push the boy onto ground, but they told him to do it and he did it to fit in.
Even though it was his best friend he was hurting.
