Loving the Alpha

Chapter 1

Today is the day of my party and I am freaking out. This could be the night I find my mate and things can either go great or horrific.

" Mae breakfast is done " my mother shouted. I went down stairs and ate up all of my eggs bacon and sausages. "Thanks mom" I smiled towards her. "Your welcome happy birthday sweetheart". I smiled a weak smile and by the look on her face she knew I was scared about meeting my mate.

After my mom gave me a speech about my mate loving me even if he doesn't even know it at the time. And me being his world and without me he will feel empty. I went back up stairs and started to get ready.

It's now 11:25 and the party starts at 5 so I have about 30 minuets to shower then I will have lunch and the rest of the time to do my make up my hair and get dressed . " Mae the nail artist is coming at 2 make sure you are ready for her and know what colour and design you want by then" my mom said stood in my door way "oops I forgot about that. Thanks mom".

I go into my bathroom and strip off and get showered making sure to shave and exfoliate making myself descant I went into my room to put on my shorts and a vest top. Then sit down to dry my hair as my belly rumbles. Great I forgot about lunch. I put my hair in a messy bun quickly while it is still wet and go down stairs to get food.

"Hi Mae happy birthday " my moms best friend Tina said. "Hi Tina thanks" I say and head into the kitchen to make a sandwich and get a banana. I eat my ham sandwich and banana and make a coffee and take it up stairs with me.

I sat down dried may hair and drank my coffee and by the time I was finished it was 1 o'clock. I get my dress out and think about what colour to have my nails. I decided on a turquoise with a sparkly finger. It is now 1:15.

I sit back down and do my hair in curls with a plat design I think it's called a waterfall and when I am finished I have 5 minuets to be downstairs for my nails.

Go downstairs and get my nails done in the way I wanted and it turns out perfect. I look outside and the pack are setting up for tonight. I look at the time and it's 3:30 " I didn't notice how long that took it didn't feel that long" I say and rush upstairs again and do my make up and as my nails where dry I didn't have to worry about ruining them. It was 4 when that was done.

"Mom can you help me" I shout and within seconds she is in my room. Can you put my earrings in I'm not used to my nails and can't get a hold of them" she laughs and does it and then she puts my necklace and bracelet on for me to knowing I will want her to help. "Thanks" " do you want me to do the zip of your dress as well" I nod.

I pull of my top and shorts and slide on me dress carefully not wanting to catch my hair or make up. I turn and she does it up. I then pull on my shoes and admire myself in my mirror.

"Honey can you do my zip too in a minuet" mom asks "yes just call me when you are done " I say. After she is zipped up I do her make up knowing she can't. "Tina is looking pretty today don't you think" she asks " yes I've never seen her all dressed up before I had to double look" we laugh and when I am nearly done dad knocks on the door.

"Everyone is here and waiting" I look at the clock and notice it is 5:05 " okay wont be long just introduce us when we come down the stairs I just have to do moms lipstick". He smiles and heads off. I am done within a minute and we head downstairs looking fancy.

After the introduction and walking around to meet new people I caught a smell a very mouth watering smell of that. I look around seeing where it is coming from as dad tells me that the alpha of the blue moon pack has just came back as he forgot to lock his car.

I look to the door and see a very attractive man. My wolf howls and I know then he is my mate.

I didn't want a high ranking mate as they are over protective and so is my father for example he has been within a meters distance than me all night. Great. But the only things that I am thinking is will he want me? Is he going to reject me? And will dad approve? as he was basically late and I know dad likes organised people and not people who are not.

"Mate " he says and everyone looks at him and I smile. I walk over and he smiles as well. " I Kyle swains alpha of blue moon pack ..." Oh no no no don't reject me not now no no no. " take you Mae Pearce As me mate and Luna of blue moon pack" he say I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and smile the biggest smile I have ever done.

I look over to dad and he has a frown on his face. Oh no don't do it dad. Don't ruin my life not today. He comes over and I stand up straight and hold my breath. " Kyle can I please talk to you in private" I look up at Kyle with worry on my face and he looks down at me with the same expression. I nod and smile a weak smile to him. He nods to my dad and they walk of. I go find mum. Everyone has gone back to dancing.

"Mom can we do something to make dad let me and Kyle be together cos I have a feeling the he is telling Kyle that he won't allow it as they are talking in private right now". "Mae don't be so silly your father wanted you to have a mate he is the reason this is happening tonight he won't do such a thing."

I nod and find my group of friends. "Hey can you guys do me a favour and perform a song with me at the end of the night" they all nod with excitement. We used to perform together all the time.

After a while Kyle and dad came back smiling and laughing. Thank god. I go over and hug Kyle. And whisper in his ear "lets go and get to know each other". I drag him to the bottom of the garden where the boat is. I step on the boat and he follows. " so what did my dad say" I ask breaking the silence " he just wanted to make sure I knew he would hurt me if I hurt you in anyway and that because I'm alpha it doesn't mean he is scared of me" he said and I went weak at the sound of his voice.
"You look beautiful tonight" he said and I blushed " he smiled and said " and cute as well even more when you blush".

We spent the whole night there getting to know each other and it was nearly time for the performance. "Do you want to see one on my talents?" I asked he nodded wanting to know what talents i have as we never told each other that. "I will go get ready for it. Just go in the hall and I will show you when I am ready." He nods and we go do that.

" what song are we doing? Mae can pick as tonight is all about her and she came up with the idea." " I think we should do... Where our hearts go" they all agree and we get ready. As my mom introduces us. The curtain rises and I see the shock on Kyle's face and I start the song. (A/N song at top)

After the song I get off stage and go straight to him. He smiles and said " was that about me?" I smile and say "maybe" he laughs " your dad and your alpha said I can stay the night with my pack as there is enough space" I smile.
