Loving the Alpha

Chapter 8

The barbecue had been lit and a lot of  food had been cooked and eaten. And when I say a lot I mean enough to fill up a swimming pool AND there was more still being cooked. I feel sorry for the people cooking it all.

---30 mins later---

Everyone had finished eating and me and Kyle where getting ready for the Luna ceremony.

We walked up to the balcony again and everyone was crowded around out side.  It was so overwhelming and I started to panic. 'shit don't have a panic attack'.

I took deep breaths Kyle noticed and pulled me into him. I looked up to him and smiled and he smiled back before looking out to the crowd. I calmed down easily once Kyle was holding me.

Everyone went quite and was staring at us. I looked at Kyle for reassurance. He squeezed me a little. "It is time to welcome my beautiful mate and your wonderful Luna into the pack"  there was cheers.

Kyle turned to me "are you ready" he whispered to which I replied with a nod. He made the biggest smile I have ever seen. "As your mate and alpha of this pack I will be doing the ceremony by myself" he shouted. " I hear by take this blade to make you part of this pack and with my blood joined to yours you will hear the mind link we all share. And with this ribbon I pronounce us true mates in front of the blue moon pack therefore making you true Luna."

Kyle took the blade and sliced it down his palm and took my hand in his and done the same to mine. As soon as the blade went into my palm I winded making Kyle flinch but he carried on. He placed the knife to the side and picked up the ribbon. "I welcome you Mae Pearce into to The Blue Moon Pack." He said putting his cut hand in mine. "I pronounce you Mae Pearce Luna of The Blue Moon Pack." He said rapping the ribbon around our joined hand. I helped him tie it as he only had one hand and I didn't want him to struggle with it in front of the pack.

He nodded and smiled at me. We stepped forward "Thank you for excepting me into the pack. I promise to do my best at being Luna and trying to keep this one under control" I said joking looking towards at Kyle the end making the crowd laugh.

We headed back in and everyone started to go and as we got in Kyle untied the ribbon but kept my hand in his which I didn't mind.

We Were heading to the bathroom to clean our hands. I got a little dizzy. It's probably the heat nothing to worry about.

After cleaning up we went to go down stairs but as I got to the top everyone's mind was in mine. I held my head.

"What's wrong?" I smiled "nothing is wrong it's just the mind link has just opened up to me and it scared me" he smiled and then I got dizzy again and this time it lasted longer. I went to take a step down the stairs but dizziness got the best of me and I fell down.

"Mae. Mae are you okay" I heard Kyle running down the stairs but then everything went black.

4 hours later

"So she is going to be fine and is going to wake up in the next couple of hours?"

"Yes it was just to much loss of blood and the fall just made it worse as she cut her shoulder on the way down"

"Okay is there anything else I need to know"

That voiced sounded so familiar but who's is it.

"Her back and shoulder will be sore when she wakes"

I don't recognise that voice on bit.

I want to know who they are and why I recognise only one voice but don't know who it belongs to.

I try to open my eyes but they are very heavy.

I finally get them open and the bright light blinds me, forcing me to close them again.

"Mae are you awake" that voice again I recognise it but who is it.

I open my mouth to answer but my throat is to dry and only sounds come out. "I will take that as a yes and that you need some water. I will get you some"

I open my eyes very slowly hoping not to get blinded by the light again. I manage to open them and as soon as I did Kyle was there with some water for me. So it was his voice.

He put it to my mouth and I took a big gulp. I clear my throat by coughing and then look at Kyle "what happened?"

The room I was in is all white and I have tubes connected to me I guessed I was in the pack hospital but why.

"Well Luna the cut on your hand from the ceremony didn't heal and you lost a lot of blood, which caused you to go dizzy also  you fell down the stairs hurting you back and you passed out because of the blood loss." The doctor in the room answered me. So that's who the other voice belongs to.

Kyle hung his head while saying "it's all my fault I should have not cut your hand and I should have caught you I'm sorry Mae it's all my fault your in here"
Now this is not right it is not his fault.

" no Kyle it is not your fault. You wanted the pack to have a Luna and I agreed. You had to cut my hand to welcome me to the pack and to make me the Luna. I should have told you I was feeling dizzy and for me falling down the stairs I'm very clumsy and trust me it won't be the last time that happens  dizzy or not so don't beet yourself up saying it's all your fault it's not you staying by my side is all I ask and you did that and it was your voice that woke me up". I protest if it's anyone's fault it's mine.

"Okay but I still feel guilty and I'm still going to take extra care of you until you get better" I smile and shake my head at his behaviour.

After I have the alright from the doctor Kyle carries me home. By carries I mean bridle style carrying me home. If it was any further I would have protested but it was only a 5 minute walk and I liked being held close to Kyle's chest. Listening  to his heart beat soothed me.

He took me up stairs and got me a top of his and a pair of his boxers. He did want to help me get changed but I said no. After being ready for bed Kyle came in and got himself sorted and got us both comfortable to go sleep.

I had my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat the next thing I knew we where both falling into a deep sleep.
