Chapter 17

Once I got all the knots out my hair I bent down and picked up my bag putting the brush in and doing it up.

I felt a tap on my shoulder "I'm guessing you two are done. I will be two seconds just got to put in my shoes" I say without turning to look at the girls.

"Okay M, I will wait for you, you know I will". Shivers went down my spine when he said that.

I turn round. "What are you doing here. You at not meant to be here." I say calmly trying not to show my fear.

Conor looks down at me "I said I will wait for you no matter what M. I just saw this opportunity for us to get away with no one knowing so I took it" he says with hope in his voice.

"I don't want to go anywhere with you I am perfectly happy in this pack, which by the way you are trespassing on the land" I say stubbornly crossing my arms

"MAE WE ARE READY TO GO HURRY UP!!" Hannah shouts I look in there direction I can't see them which means they can't see me.

Conor puts his hand over my mouth and says "make a sound and I will not hesitate on hurting you, you should know that by now" he says with a smirk.

I nod and then I feel a sharp pain in my arm suddenly everything is black.

Kyles POV

'We can't find mae we when to get dry behind different trees and she didn't come out for 20 minuets so we went behind the tree she was and we only found her bag and a smell of a marked rouge but maes sent has gone'

Hannah says panicked though mind link that has me mom dad her Oscar mason Shaunna in.

'What! Stay there we are on our way'
I say.

'Coming' 'on it' 'leaving now'
Is heard by mason Oscar and dad

'Hurry' Shaunna says

When we get there something feels strange like my special link moth mae though our mark has vanished as if she could just get rid of it. I feel this sharp pain in my heart then in my left arm.

"What is it son" dad says.

"My heart it feels like it's been stabbed"
I say bent over in pain.

"Anywhere else" dad says as if he knows what's happening.

I nod "in my left arm, hear" I say pointing near to the top of my arm but not quite at my shoulder. He nods

"So good and bad news,Mae is alive but her mate bond has been broken because she has been drugged, the mark and bond will still remain but it will only be felt if the person or people that drugged her stops drugging her"

Relief washes over me followed by panic pain and anger.

"We have to find her now!" I say

'I need at trackers and hunters to cover the boarders and search for your Luna she has been taken' I say into the pack link.

I think back to this morning when we where working on boarder patrol work and remember that the closes boarder is the one that is left for a bit with no one on. If only I went through that quicker and got it sorted so it could be in motion now this would not have happened. It's all my fault.

I fruited mind linking her but nothing no answer not even a feeling ugh how am I supposed to cope.  I can't even get through to her in anyway I can't even feel if she's hurt or even alive. I hate this.

Who ever or what ever has done this will pay I will find Mae and kill whoever is behind this I will have no mercy.

"Dad, Mason,Oscar  I need your help with coming up with a plan later but for now I want to spread out and see if there is any other sent we can track that could get Mae back so search the other side of the boarder line to see if he sent or anyone's came back out side of it."   I have heard that some witches and vampires can mask their sent when in someone else's territory.

After 5 hours of search for something anything that could Lead me to Mae we still have nothing.

If I don't find her soon I'm going to become a mad ruthless alpha that will eventually become week because I don't have my mate my anchor my sanity my everything my Mae by my side. 

It's funny you don't realise how much you love someone until they aren't there and you don't know if they will ever be there with you again. I know I loved Mae she's so kind, sweet, beautiful,caring, appreciative, thoughtful I could go on and on it my point is she is my mate why wouldn't I love her, I just didn't know how much I love her until now. Until it's hurting me that she isn't hear. Until I can't say or prove it to her.

I am currently trying to come up with a plane to find her but with no lead it's the hardest thing to think of. 'If she was here she would come up with something' my wolf said obviously hurting as well 'I know but what are we supposed to do we have no lead'  I say back to him.

"How about u call the other packs around here and see if any of them either know where she is or have seen any suspicious behaviour with anyone including the rouges around recently." My dad says.

"I think that's the only tho g I can do at the moment but I don't want them to think I am accusing them of taking her."

Just be calm and explain what has happened then ask if they have seen or heard about anything suspicious recently" mason says.  I nod

"Okay but what ever you do don't get angry with anyone cos u don't want to start a war" Oscar said. I nod

10 minuets 4 phone calls later and nothing  there is only one more pack in the area.

"Hello alpha Halford this is alpha Kyle  Swains I would like to ask you something but first I want to explain what's happening and assure you this is not me accusing you of anything I just need help"

"Okay I'm listening" he said

"So earlier on today my mate was taken from my pack after dw when swimming but I can't track her die because she must have been injected with something to cover her scent. I can't get through to her on Mind link and I can't feel her emotions pain or even if she is still alive. I have searched for any scent to follow that could track her down but nothing. I was wandering if you knew anything that could help me or even if you have seen or heard of any suspicious activity recently." I say starting to get emotional but try to hide it as I don't want to seem week.

"Oh I am so sorry to hear that I hope she is okay that that she gets home safe but unfortunately I have not seen heard or know about anything that can help you but I will keep an eye out for you and will let you know. Have you marked her?" He asks.

"Yes I have" I say proudly

"That will be easier for me to help you if u see her I will be able to identify her as yours. I will let you know if I find anything of use. Let me know if you find her"

"Thank you I appreciate your help" I say and hang up.

I look at the guys around me " nothing but he will let me know if he finds anything" I say upset.

"Son go rest up I will let the pack know that we are searching every inch or land we can without declaring war on any other pack tomorrow" my dad says

I nod and walk up to Maes and my room. I strip of and lay on the bed I cuddled into her pillow and smell it as it smells like her. I start to tear up " I miss you Mae please come home to me I love you" i whisper to no one.
