Her eyes sent shivers down my spine.

“What?”  I asked again.

“Did you even think before you made the stupid decision of bringing her here?”

“I understand you’re upset.”

“All this time you’ve been so hell bent of protecting them and you go and do this.”

“What are you talking about?”

“She can’t leave.  Surely you know that.”

“She won’t tell anyone.”

Her glare cut through me.

I averted my eyes.

“She can’t leave.”  She said with finality.

“Dharma.”

She walked past me.

I grabbed her arm.

She looked at me.

“Don’t do this.”  I said.

“You did it Johnathon, I’m just finishing it.”

She broke my hold and walked towards the house.

I walked quickly after her.

“You can’t Dharma.  I love her!”

She turned on me and I felt her ice cold hand wrap around my throat.

I swallowed convulsively, afraid to move.

“Listen to me and listen closely.  You will never bring another mortal into this house.  If you do, they will all suffer the same fate as that little whore in the dining room.”

Her hand released me.

“What does that mean?”

I hated that my voice trembled.

“It means they will all die.”

“Why?  Because you’re jealous?”

“Don’t test my patience Johnathon.  I won’t warn you again.  It’s what you’ve been asking for, bringing her here.  You say she won’t tell anyone, but can you really trust her?”

I looked away.

She walked into the dining room, I scurried after her.

Isabella stood and smiled nervously.

Dharma walked up to her and without warning, she pulled Isabella close to her and I knew the moment she bent her head what she was going to do.

“Dharma, no!”

A moment later, Isabella fell from her grasp.

I ran and crouched next to the lifeless body, tears streaming down my face.

Dharma grabbed me roughly, her fingers digging into my flesh.

“Do you understand?”

“Why are you doing this?”

I felt sick.

“This is what I do.”

“No.”

She released me and walked away.

“NO!”
