"Hyung, just tell me!"

Seokjin shushes the younger. "Stop yelling. And no, I already told you; it's a surprise."

Jungkook pouts. "Hyung, this is unfair."

"Not really," Seokjin smiles, reaching over and brushing Jungkook's hair out of his eyes. "I want to surprise you, so stop asking me what it is."

"Hyung—"

"Look, the train's here." Seokjin slips his hand into Jungkook's, gently tugging him along as they step into the train. Unfortunately for them, all the seats are taken; they reluctantly grab onto the cold metal pole, at one point shuffling a little closer because there isn't enough space on the train.

The train lurches forward, and Jungkook can already tell that there will be some jostling. His eyes wander around and settle on a map of the various stations, and he examines that for a while before the next stop approaches. As the train stops, Jungkook steadies himself by placing his foot behind him, a sharp gasp leaving his mouth when Seokjin falls on him.

Seokjin literally falls onto Jungkook; Seokjin had somehow lost his grip on the pole— distracted by something, Jungkook supposes—  and had fallen onto Jungkook, the younger's arm instinctively wrapping around Seokjin's waist. As the doors open and a significant amount of people leave, Seokjin pulls away, embarrassed. "Sorry about that," he says quietly, cheeks a dull pink. "I, uh, wasn't paying attention."

Jungkook shakes his head. "It's fine. Now, do you want to sit down? There are a ton of empty seats."

"There's only one stop left," Seokjin points out, "but sure."

They sit down in seats next to each other, knees brushing, for about thirty seconds before Seokjin taps Jungkook's thigh, murmuring, "This is our stop, come on."

Ten minutes later, Seokjin's hand is clamped over Jungkook's eyes as they walk. "Hyung—"

"How many times do I have to tell you? I'm not uncovering your eyes until we get there."

"I don't like surprises."

"I think you'll like this one."

"How do you know?"

"I just do."

When Seokjin removes his hand, Jungkook realizes that they are in—

"An aquarium?" he squeals, grabbing the elder's arm. "I haven't been to one in ages— thank you!"

"I told you you'd like it," Seokjin chuckles, running his hands through Jungkook's hair.

Jungkook grins happily, grabbing Seokjin's arm and tugging him further into the museum. "Come on, hyung, I want to see the sharks!"

。。。

The sun has completely gone down by the time they leave the aquarium. Seokjin takes a hold of Jungkook's hand with a gentle murmur of it's cold out, and Jungkook doesn't object as he leans into Seokjin since it is, indeed, quite cold.

As they walk past a group of men who seem a little more than just tipsy, Jungkook feels Seokjin's grip on his hand tighten ever so slightly, pulling him even closer. He exhales quietly in relief when the men do nothing to bother them, but an icy dread stabs his chest when he hears one of the men shout something at them.

"Hey, faggot!"

"Just ignore them," Jungkook says quietly as Seokjin turns to look at them. "Just don't—"
