"See you later."

"Yeah." Seokjin climbs into the car. "See you."

Jungkook manages to keep his completely and utterly false smile plastered onto his face until the car is out of sight; then it drops, and Jungkook walks in the opposite direction with his shoulders slumped and hands in his pockets. The dull ache of longing in his chest spreads to his gut, and Jungkook resists the urge to pull out his phone and call Seokjin.

I miss him already.

Jungkook isn't so sure now if he can get through these two weeks as his vision blurs with tears. He furiously blinks them away, angry at himself for being such a child and crying like this—

With an agitated exhalation of air, the teenager storms off in the direction of Taehyung's house, blinking sleepily. It's 3 in the morning, and Jungkook had woken up just to see Seokjin off. Sniffing, he pulls his arms into the sleeves of the already too-large sweater— Seokjin's sweater.

The elder had pulled this white hoodie over Jungkook's head just minutes before the taxi had arrived, tousling the teenager's locks with a mumble of, "Don't miss me too much, Jungkookie."

"I will," Jungkook had sullenly replied, leaning into Seokjin.

Seokjin had smiled, rubbing Jungkook's shoulder and replying, "That's why I gave you this sweater, silly. If you ever miss me, just wear this and hopefully it'll feel like I'm right next to you."

"Hopefully."

Jungkook kicks a stray pebble off the sidewalk, hearing a faint clink! as it hits a metal trash can. Pulling the hood up over his head to protect his ears from the chilly morning breeze, he glances inside a dimly lit coffee shop where a girl is slumped over the counter, seeming to be falling asleep. With a chuckle, he enters the shop, and the girl immediately looks up at the sound of the bell, her ponytail flying up.

"Hello," she says breathlessly. "How may I help you?"

Jungkook glances at the various delectables, stomach growling a little. Upon noticing a row of cupcakes with little Marios on top, he sighs, Seokjin's Mario plushie coming to mind. A small smile finds its way onto his face as he asks for one of the Mario-topped cupcakes, and after paying, he sits at a table and begins eating it.

Once finishing the cupcake, reminded of Seokjin while he licks off the frosting, Jungkook thanks the girl once more and heads out of the store and down the sidewalk. He tightens the strings of the hoodie and shoves his hands into his pockets, startled when he feels something small.

A minuscule Mario plushie keychain is clipped to the inside of the pocket. Jungkook unclips it and squeezes it a little, chortling. Seokjin must have accidentally left it there. He plays with the small toy as he walks back to his apartment, switching out his jeans for some flannel pants and carefully peeling off the sweater and laying it out neatly on the back of his chair. He climbs into bed and shuts off the light, a soft yawn escaping his lips as his eyes flutter shut.

Jungkook falls asleep with the plushie still in his hand.

。。。

The teenager wakes up at 7:04, stretching groggily and sitting up, spirits deflating ever so slightly when he remembers that he won't be able to meet with Seokjin for the next two weeks. He untangles himself from his sheets and reaches for his phone.

Jungkook: Hey, you free today?

Taehyung: weLL

Taehyung: jimin and i were gonna go watch a movie
