Chapter 5, Oh You're On.

After lunch had finished, I had art. And guess who was in my class. Yep you guessed it. Braedon. He smiled as soon as he saw me enter the room. I don't see why he would. Like I've never see someone that happy to see me. I walked in, put my stuff down and got out my book and pencils. as I was setting up, he walked over to me.

"So, my place or yours?" He asked

"What?!" I almost shouted

"For the assignment. Duh." He smirked

"Oh. Uh. I really don't mind. You can choose." I suggested

"Ok. Your house it is." He smiled

"What wrong with your house?" I questioned back.

"Well. I want to know what type of house, the new girl Nessa, lives in, in a non-stalkish way of course. Plus, you said I could choose." He said fiddling with my art equipment.

"Ok well, meet me at the school gate after school and don't take forever to get there or I'll leave without you." I said while snatching one of my paint brushes out of his hands.

"Haha. Ok I won't." He laughed the handed me a slip of paper.

What was on the paper you ask? Well it was his phone number. He probably gave it to me just so I can call or text him to hurry up.

* After school *

So, the school bell went off, which means it's time to leave this hell hole. Here, they just get up and leave and don't let the teacher finish talking, but in Australia, if any one got up to leave as soon as the bell went and not let the teacher finish, they would have to stay behind and wait for everyone to leave the class. So, I put my books in my bag and headed to the school gates. While waiting, Lana and Carla passed by.

"Hey Vanessa. Who are you waiting for?" Lana asked.

"I'm waiting for Braedon, so we can do our assignment this afternoon." I said while rolling my eyes. I tend to do that a lot.

"Haha. Well here are our number in case you wanted to contact us or find us tomorrow." Carla said while handing me a slip of paper.

"Thanks. Hey it was really nice of you to let me hang out with you guys today." I smile.

"Hey. No problem. It's fun making new friends." says Lana cheerfully

"Ok well we've got to go otherwise we'll miss our bus. Bye." Carla ways and starts to walk off

"Bye Vanessa." Lana says following close behind Carla

"Bye, see you tomorrow." I wave them goodbye and Braedon shows up.

"Hey. Was that Lana and Carla you were talking to?" asks Braedon.

"Yeah. I met them today and they told me I could hang out with them. Why?" I reply.

"Wow. First day at a new school and you're already friends with the most popular girls in school. You must be special." He teases.

"They're the most popular girls in school? They never mentioned that." I say with a curious look on my face

"Yeah. They are like the HOTTEST girls in the school and the nicest and richest. But now they have to compete with you to see who's hotter." He winks

"I wouldn't say I'm Hot. I was far from popular at my old school." I say looking down at my feet blushing.

"Really? Your school must have been crazy." He smiles. "Hey. Did you know I was from Australia too?"

"I noticed." I giggled.
