Chapter 12, Will You Go Out With Me?

It's now Tuesday and I have just arrived at school. I headed to my locker to put my bag away and get my books out. I saw Ty walking up to me.

Ty: "Hey."

Vanessa: "Hi"

Ty: "How was you're weekend."

Vanessa: "It was fine."

Ty: "Hey so can I ask you something?"

Vanessa: "Yeah sure. What's up?"

Ty: "Well This weekend, molly and I had a talk."

Vanessa: "Oh yeah. She....She told me."

Ty: "She told you?"

Vanessa: "Yeah uh. I saw her at the beach and she told me there."

Ty: "Oh well, um. Our brake up made me realise something, and um well. Would you go out with me."

Just then Bradon came up.

Bradon: "Who's going out with you?"

Vanessa: "Bradon go away."

Bradon: "Did you just ask my girl out?"

Ty: "Your girl?"

Vanessa: "Guys..."

Bradon: "Yes my girl."

Vanessa: "Bradon.."

Ty: "Last I heard, she didn't like you."

Bradon: "Well now she does..."

Vanessa: "GUYS!"

They both went silent.

Vanessa: "I am not anyone's girl. I'm not a thing. Bradon you can't tell people that I'm your girlfriend. We are not together. I still don't like you. And Ty... The answer to your question is yes. I am free Saturday."

Bradon: "But..."

Vanessa: "LEAVE IT alone Bradon."

I walked off and headed to homeroom. Few minutes later, Bradon walked in.

Bradon: "You're not seriously gonna go out with that nerd, are you?"

Vanessa: "Bradon. You don't own me. We aren't going out. I can date whom ever I want and you can't stop me."

Bradon was about to say something but the teacher walked in and shushed him.

*At morning tea*

Mia: "Hey Vanessa. I'm mia. I was at the movies with you, Ty, Molly and the others."

Vanessa: "Oh right. Hi. I didn't know you went here. I thought you went to school with Molly.

Mia: "Oh no. We went to primary school with each other and I introduced Molly and Ty to each other a few moths back."

Vanessa: "Oh ok."

Mia: "Yeah um, so this morning I saw you and Ty and Bradon talking."

Vanessa: "Oh that yeah. I was nothi..."

Mia: "You're so lucky."

Vanessa: "Why?"

Mia: "you've got the hottes guy and the nicest guy fighting over you."

Vanessa: "I wouldn't say I was lucky."

Mia: "Why. Most girls would be jumping for joy of Bradon was fight over you."

Vanessa: "Well again I'm not like most girls and I don't want him fighting over me because I don't like him and he won't let me go out with other people."

Mia: "Oh. Well in that case, can I have Bradon."

Vanessa: "Sure. Go ahead."

Mia: "Ok thank. You're the best."

Vanessa: "Haha. Ok well I've got to go. Bye"

Mia: "Ok byeeee."

I walked back to my locker and got my books out for Art and science. Since it was art next, I was stuck with Bradon.

Bradon: "Please don't go out with him."

Vanessa: "Why."

Bradon: "Because you don't like him. You like me."

Vanessa: "I do like him. When I found out that he was taken I felt jealous and upset, and now he has finally asked me out. He's and great guy and not a player."

Bradon: "Fine go on your date with him." He then went silent and continued to draw.

*At lunch*

I was sitting alone and was reading my book for English when jacinta came up.

Jacinta: "So I take it you gave up on my brother."

Vanessa: "Yeah sorry."

Jacinta: "Can I ask why?"

Vanessa: "Well today he and Ty got in a fight over me because Ty asked me out. He called me his. I'm not anybody's. He doesn't want me to go out with other people and I have liked Ty for a very long time and he has finally asked me out. So I said yes."

Jacinta: "Ok I understand."

Vanessa: "How did you know about me not going for Bradon."

Jacinta: "Well he looked so sad and he's only looked that sad once before when his first girlfriend broke up with him. That's why he started date info everyone and dump them. He's afraid to be in a serious relationship because he doesn't want to feel that way ever again and well now he has. Plus I saw Ty asking you out.

Vanessa: "Oh. I had no idea. I know how he feels. It happened to me too."

Jacinta: "Yeah. Not many people know that story so don't go telling people."

Vanessa: "Haha, ok I won't."

Jacinta: "Ok well I've got to get back to my friends."

Vanessa: "Ok bye."

Jacinta: "Bye."
