Homeroom finished and now Lana and I are walking to English together. We have Miss Chipper. She's very bossy and loud. No wonder she's still single. We had sat at the back of the class, because all the 'nerds' sat at the front and I didn't want people thinking I'm one of them. The teacher said that where we chose to sit today, is where we have to sit for the rest of the year, so I'm happy with that.
After English, we had Science and we had our homeroom room teacher. He's such a fun teacher to have unlike miss Chipper. Once science was over I went to my locker to put my books away. I got my food and I went to go find Lana and Carla. I should have gotten their numbers at the beginning of the day. It would be much easier to find them. Morning tea was short. I couldn't find the girls anywhere. I went to my locker to put away my food and get out my books for Maths and drama then closed my locker. I jumped when I closed my locker because I was surprised by Braedon hiding behind my locker door.
"You scared me" I said with a little chuckle.
"Vanessa, right? The new girl." He said with a cute smile. He obviously doesn't remember me.
"Yes. And you're Braedon, they guy who went out the nearly every girl in the year." I said as if a didn't care.
"Where did you hear that from?" He said with a little laugh and was still smiling.
"Nowhere" I said shyly while turning around and walking away.
"So what do you have next?" He started to follow me.
"Why do you want to know?" I said with a little sass.
"To see if we are in the same class." I rolled my eyes and sped up a little
"Well I have maths in room D47." I replied.
"Great I'll walk you." He offered
"So you're in my class?" I asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"Ha! No." Oh good. For a minute, there I thought he was actually smart. "You're in the smart class and I'm not. But I'm still gonna walk you to your class." He replied
"Oh. No, it's fine I can walk myself." I said turning the corner trying to get away from him.
He stopped and let me walk by myself.
"Ok well see you around then." I turned around to see him waving at me but not so happily. It's as if no one had ever rejected him before.
I walk into my maths class and sat at the front this time. Maths has to be one of my favourite subjects. I sat at the front because since I'm in the smart class everyone here was a 'nerd' and so I can focus a bit more on what we were doing. A girl with shoulder length blond hair who was quite tall sat down next to me and started talking.
"Hi I'm Sami." Is what she opened with.
"Hi I'm Vanessa" I went to go put out my hand for her to shake it, but she didn't respond and gave me a disgusted look.
"Yeah um. I saw you talking to Braedon in the hall way. His mine so back off! And if I see you talking to him one more time, your gonna wish you didn't." She said this in an annoying bitchy tone.
"Ok, listen here 'Sami' I don't give a shit if he's 'your man' and I don't give a shit if he isn't. I don't like guys like him. So, leave me alone and have fun dating a player." What can I say. I'm rude to people who are rude to me.
She gasped, flicked her hair then walked to the back of the class room and sat down. A minute later a cute kind of nerdy boy sat down next to me and introduced himself.
"Hey I'm Ty. It's like Tyler but without the 'ler'." I giggled as to how he explained his name. I think I would have remember Ty just fine.
"Hey I'm Vanessa, the new girl." I replied.
"Don't worry. you won't feel like the 'New girl' after like a week or so. Everyone is pretty nice here. I was the 'New Guy' last year, so I know how it feels. " He said with a warming smile.
"Yeah, not everyone here is nice." I turned around to look at Sami to show him who I was talking about.
"Oh, don't worry about her. She'll get over you. She just thinks you a threat cuz you're the shiny new girl that everyone likes." He smiled.
"Hope so. she's already threatened me." I added opening my maths book.
"Why? What did you do?" he laughed.
"She saw her boyfriend talking to me and then she told me to back off or else." I explained.
"Oh. Sorry can't help you with that one." He said, smiling with a little bit of a giggle.
The teacher then walk in and told us all to settle down. She was quite young. Maybe 24 or 26. she was wearing a bright coloured dress and had her blond hair tied up in a nice neat bun. She seemed to have a English accent which I found lovely. She seems like a really nice teacher. She gave us a pop quiz on the first day to see what we already know, and every one complained except me and Ty. I was excited to show off how good I was at maths.
I was the first one to finish the test, then Ty, then Sami. It was soooo easy, not like in Australia. I couldn't understand half the stuff they taught us there. After class Ty and I talked about the test and how easy it was, while walking to our lockers which happens to be right next to each other. We were both surprised that some people in the class didn't even finish the test. We became quick friends.
