Chapter 4, Why him?

Next I had geography and I was by myself this lesson. Well I was until Braedon walked in. Why? Just why? Why does he have to be the only person in this class that I know of. He came to the back of the class and sat down next to me.

"Hey Nessa." He said cheekily

"Vanessa!" I snapped back

"Yeah. I'm just gonna call you Nessa." I rolled my eyes at him.

"Can I ask you a Question?" He said leaning over his table.

"You just did." I said pushing him back to his seat.

He chuckles before He asked next. "Why don't you like me? Most girls would be all over me and would let me walk them to class."

"Well I'm not like most girl." I rolled my eyes at him once again.

He was just about to say something, but then the Teacher walked in and shushed him. I giggled a bit and she snapped her head to me. I quickly hid my face hoping he didn't hear me laugh.

"After noon class. I'm Mrs Vito. Look where your sitting. That is where you'll be sitting there for the rest of the time that you'll have me. I may change it around during this year." She said in a bored tone.

Great. Just great. I'm stuck sitting next to Braedon. I can't believe that he doesn't remember me. have I changed that much? I know he has. He was THE UGLIEST kid in the world. He was a nerd just like me. He probably didn't like it either. I think that is the ONLY thing we have in common.

"Ok every one. I know it's only the first day of school, but you already have an assignment to do." The teacher informed.

The whole class groaned and booed.

"Don't worry it's not an individual task. You will be doing it with the person to your right."

It took me a while to figure out my lefts from my rights. I thought I was going to do it was a girl called Tessa. But then I realised she was on my left. So, that meant I was with him. As soon as I heard the teacher's words. He then laughed and looked over at me.

"Not excited to do this assignment with me?" He chuckled.

"Honestly I would rather do this by myself." I rolled my eyes and looked at the assignment sheet.

Our task was to research a country and add all of this information into a power point and present it to the class.

"Well I'm gonna help you weather you like it or not." I rolled my eyes once again and he laughed.

"Hmf you're cute when u hate me." I found that a very odd thing to find cute.

"I thought you had a girlfriend." I said looking over at him

"Who told you that?" He furrowed his eyebrows.

"Your girlfriend." I said with an obvious tone.

"I don't have a girlfriend." He smirked when a confused look appeared on my face.

"Well, Sami thinks you do."

"We Dated like last year. I told her to get over me but she can't get that through her head. "He said with a little laugh.

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes AGAIN and started writing down what was on the board.

After class I went to go find Lana and Carla or Ty. I went to my locker and saw Ty at his. Thank god I found someone. I don't want a repeat of morning tea.

"Hey Ty!" I said cheery.

"Oh hey Vanessa. What's up?" He said looking away from his locker.

" Oh not much. But I officially hate geography." I said leaning up against the lockers.

"Why?" He said with a little bit of a giggle.

"First of all I have to sit next to Braedon all year and now I have to do an assignment with him." I turned around and did the combination to unlock my locker.

"Hahaha. Why don't you like him?" He asked.

"Oh. No reason." I got my lunch and started to walk and he followed behind.

"Most girls would love to be with him." he smirked.

"Funny. He said the same thing." I said blaming my locker closed.

He laughed again.

"So listen. Me and a couple of friends of mine are going to the movies on Friday. Wanna come? It would be a great way for you to meet new people." He suggested.

"Yeah. Sure. I would Love too." I wide grin grew upon my face.

"Cool. So, can I get your number to text you the details later?" He asked.

"Yeah, sure." I gave him my number then told him that I should go find Lana and Carla because I told them that I said I would sit with them. He said it was cool and went to go find his friends.

After about 20 minutes of looking around the school, I finally found Lana and Carla in the bathrooms.

"Oh hi, Vanessa" Lana greeted with a small smile.

"Hey Lana." I smiled back.

"Hey Vanessa." Carla said coming out of a toilet stall.

"Hey Carla. What's Up?" I replied.

"Oh not much. What about you."

"Ugh! I have to sit next to Braedon for the rest of the year and do an assignment with him?" I said leaning against the sinks.

"You don't like him?" Asked Lana.

"Not really. No." I shrugged.

"Why? Most girls love him." Lana furrowed her eyebrows

"Why do people keep saying that!"
