Later that day Ace was playing mailbox baseball with Eyeball, Billy and Charlie. The black t-shirt that had been infiltrated by Lizzy's drink had changed and Ace was now wearing a white t-shirt with a dark bluey jacket.

'Fuck!' Billy shouted after swinging for a mailbox but missing it. All the other boys let out a small laugh at his fail. Now Ace and Billy were out, making it Charlie's go. Swapping sides with Billy, so he was on the de where the mailboxes were, he took the bat and prepped himself to swing. The target was in sight, Charlie lifted the bat and moved his arms to swing-
'Hey Ace ain't that your girl?' Eyeball shouted pointing at a house in the near distance to the left of them. Charlie stopped aiming for the mailbox and turned to look where Eyeball was pointing, as did Ace and Billy. She was there. Ace couldn't believe his luck. There was Lizzy sitting on the bannister of her porch railings reading a book.
'What girl?' Charlie asked
'Someone we met today' Ace replied, 'drive over'

Lizzy sat content on her porch, her feet dangling, mind concentrated on her book and her head resting against the post. Utter relaxation. A feeling she felt so rarely lately. However, as she looked up to see a car pulling into her drive with Ace in the passenger seat, she knew her moment of relaxing was over...

Quickly, she spun around and jumped off the bannister, which was only a few feet tall, and then placed her book on top of it. The boys were getting out of the car now. She approached the top of the porch of the porch stairs.
'What the hell are you doing here?!' Lizzy exclaimed, glaring at Ace.
'Obviously not that busy are you if you have time to be lazing around reading' Ace, ignoring her question, said while walking towards to her.
'That was part of my busy schedule, actually' Her hands were now on the railing of each side of the stairs, blocking off Ace from going any nearer to the house.
'Oh really?' An amused look was on his face 'well I'm here now so I'm pretty sure you can find time'
All of the boys were watching contently.
'No you need to leave. Right now'
'Why's that, doll?'
'Because my Dad will be home soon and he won't enjoy his drive being taken over by a bunch of boys he doesn't know'
'Especially when they're, hooligans' Ace said, teasing Lizzy about what she had called him earlier.
'Exactly' She nodded. 'So just leave'
Ace looked behind at the rest of the boys who were resting against the car, watching.
'Make me' Ace challenged, turning back to Lizzy.
'Excuse me?'
'You want me to leave? Make me. Convince me'
Lizzy shook her head in disbelief, was she really about to be bribed?
'How do I do that?'
Ace smirked
'Come hang out with me for a bit'
Lizzy was hesitant for a second. She didn't want to spend any more time with him than she already had but she really just wanted him to leave. Surely there must be an alternative?she thought to herself.
'How about I just call the cops instead?'
'You could' He tilted his head to the right slightly 'but that would get a bit complicated, your parents would have to get involved and I don't think you want that. I think you just want me to leave as if this never happened. So why don't you just get in the damn car?'
He had a point.
'I can't, my Dad will be home soon and he'll expect me to be here'
'I'm sure you can leave a note or something'
Lizzy shook her head. Then it occurred that this could all just be a bluff on Ace's part. Surely he wasn't going to stay around just to bribe her into going out with him? Heart beating slightly heavier, she decided to test his bluff.
'I haven't got time for this' she began, 'I'm not gonna go out with you and you need to understand that okay? So I'm going to go inside. Goodbye' as she started walking inside Ace shouted out 'We'll just stay out here then'
Lizzy ignored him, shutting the door behind her.

Upstairs, Lizzy checked to see if her mother was still asleep. She was. Walking out of her parents room, she made her way back downstairs and sat on the sofa next to a large window. 15 minutes had passed and Ace was still there, sitting on the car and talking to the rest of the boys. Her Dad normally comes home in around 25 minutes. Sitting there watching them, Lizzy was in two minds. Should she stay there and see if Ace really will stay there but then if he did, her dad would come home and there would be hell. Or, should she go out and give Ace what he wants so he'll leave but perhaps Ace wouldn't keep up his end of the deal. Lizzy wouldn't be surprised if he didn't.

Another 15 minutes passed. Her Dad would be definitely on his way home now. Or maybe he set off early and he would be home any second now. Fear gripped Lizzy at the thought of this. She now knew Ace wasn't going to move and she had to do something to get him away. Quickly.
