Just like she said, I'd sit with her at lunch.

"Hey dude! Aren't you going to sit with your girlfriend!" Jace said in a teasing tone. He blocks me from sitting down, laughing, I start to think of ways to make his life miserable.

I can't take his laughter anymore, so I decide to go sit with her, I could feel the tension in the air.
"Hey Loui!" A girl with bright brown eyes says. She was, out of everyone, the one that caught my attention. I look at her, and almost automatically, I smile, not because she's pretty, I mean she is, but because she's alone. She's vulnerable. I could see Xiao through my peripherals staring at me, her face started to get red and looked away. I hear the kids murmuring now.

The girl looks surprised and looks down. "Thank you." I say quietly, taking a seat next to her. She looks at me with her big eyes.

"Im...Ellie. I'm actually really happy that you could sit with me, I mean this is the first time since a person sat with me. And ever since my best friend betrayed me... sorry I'm rambling..." she ruffles her already messy hair and sighs. "I'm sorry, but who's this ex best friend, and I hope I can be your friend." I semi lied. "It was Xiao... I can't get any friends from what she did. She just uses people like you, it's cause your cute. She wants popularity, but doesn't realize who she's hurting." I look over at Xiao and she's pointing over at us. That makes me dislike her even more, she won't use me.

I put my hand on top of hers. "Ellie-" Xiao again comes out of nowhere to cut me off. "Loui, what are you doing sitting with...her." She continues to look at me with her eyes dilated again. I roll my eyes at her and scoff. "How many times do I have to tell you to leave me alone. I hate you. You're not even cute."

She looked stunned at the last few words. Standing up, she looked passionately offended. "You will." She flipped her blonde hair and walked away. Ellie looked at my hand, she was blushing.

When the last bell rang, I took to the halls waiting to be spotted by yours truly. "Loui, I need to tell you something." She tries to grab my hand, but I flinch away.

"Go." I look at Ellie and smile grimly. "Why are you playing hard to get!" She yells in a whisper.

"There's nothing for you to catch. Ellie!" I see her walking towards me and I pleasantly smile.

She smiled, ignoring Xiao. "Hey Loui wanna go out!"

My eyes go wide, Xiao turns red. "No! No no, not like that! As in like somewhere, out!" Ellie looks down in shame.

I chuckle, keeping my eyes on her. How easy she is, to be so vulnerable. I take her hand and intertwined mine with hers, "I'll come." Her hands felt sweaty all the sudden.

"I thought you said you had a girlfriend." Xiao laughed and took out her phone, leaving. I could feel Ellie start to shake.

I led Ellie to my house, Dori wasn't home yet she had overtime today.

It was an awkward silence for the walk to my house, I kept glancing over at her, I know she was uneasy due to the way she was walking. "Can I ask you about Xiao." I say unlocking the door. She doesn't say anything until I turn towards her. She starts to shake.

"Loui please. Please don't hurt me!" I raise my eyebrow in suspicion. "I know about you, but it was because of Xiao!" I grab her and pull her inside the house.

She starts screaming and kicking as i pull her inside, I put my hand over her mouth. "What do you mean." I say as I push her up against the door. She is really putting up a fight, with all the squirming. She bites my hand, but I don't flinch, I look to the ceiling and smirk.

She finally stops. "What did Xiao tell you." I remove hand feeling the mark she left on it.

"She said you were a serial killer, and I didn't believe her, but she threatened me. She said she would kill me if I told anyone. She said she watched your mother kill her father. She said she'd have vengeance!" I stare at her coldly. "She knows my mom...and I don't...."

"He doesn't even care about me."

A familiar voice rang in my head.

"I need your help on this mission then." I said looking at her blankly.
