Dear Diary,
I'm fading.
I've known this for a while and it's only getting worse, I'm slowly fading from my friend's and family's lives.
I wonder if they notice; or if they even care.
Yes, diary, I think you're the only one that cares.
It's been years since I was dissolved but I'm still here. With nothing to do but sit around all day I'm just wasting my brother's time and money, and I'm constantly bugging all of my "friends", but they're all too busy to deal with me anyway. Honestly, I was supposed to disappear when the Allies signed the agreement; what went wrong?
I should be dead.
If I were, maybe life on my brother and the others would be easier. I wouldn't be a constant bother to everyone I care about.
Maybe if I just disappeared, like I was meant to, life would simply be easier.
There is no Prussia. I'll always be called it, but I never will be Prussia again.
Prussia is dead.
So why can't I die with it?
________
Prussia stared tiredly down at the beaten diary, groaning with agitation. He had been writing his life out daily for so long, since Old Fritz died. But what was the point? He knew his memory was slowly fading, considering he was too. It was only a matter of time...
He guessed that was the reason he constantly wrote things down; so he could remember. Hopefully, when he finally disappeared for good, someone would find his diaries and he could have some sort of legacy, besides the sheer fact that he was always a violence starter in recent and ancient history.
He stretched tiredly and stood, stepping away from the old wooden desk in his basement bedroom. Gilbird chirped and flew towards him, landing on his head. Prussia smiled softly and pet the small bird before throwing on dark blue military pants and a black tank-top. He spun around on his heels and headed for the stairs that led up to the rest of West's house, jogging up the steps. However, before he could reach the top, the door swung open.
Prussia stopped, immediately fixing a fake smile on his face to greet his brother who stood at the top of the stairs.
Time to act like everything was okay, act awesome, make sure no one could see through the mask he wore that he was slowly fading.
Make sure no one knew, that he actually wasn't very awesome. That he actually wasn't very strong or fearless, make sure no one knew the true him. All of these played a factor in the Prussian's way of life, to keep all he cared about oblivious until he was gone for good.
This is how it was going to stay, if Prussia could help it. He greeted his brother and finished his way up the steps. Germany stepped to the side to allow his older brother through the opening before closing the door behind him.
"The next monthly World Meeting starts tomorrow so I'm leaving today. Like always it'll last three days, and it's at Italy's. I was wondering if you wanted to come." Germany invited as the ex-nation shuffled through the cabinets for something to eat. He gathered a bowl, milk,
some cereal, and a spoon then sat down before responding.
"You're actually inviting me?" He mumbled, shoving spoonfuls of the breakfast food in his mouth, "you banned me, remmeber?" Germany let out a small sigh and rubbed his temples.
"Could you put the food down while you speak?" He shifted his weight onto his left leg, "anyway, I'm willing to lift the ban if you behave. I just thought you'd like to get out of the house and maybe stay in Italy for a little while."
Totally taking Germany's words in the wrong way, the Prussian slurped up the remaining cereal bites and walked to the kitchen, dropping the bowl in the sink. He then returned to his younger brother and slung an arm around his shoulder.
"Oh but bruder, I thought it was your job to stay in Italy~"
"You disgusting imbecile!" Germany growled, wacking his brother in the back of his head before pulling away, a small blush covering his face. Prussia laughed and released his brother, heading back towards the basement door with Gilbird not far behind.
"Sure, I'll come with you to Italy, I haven't talked to the others in a while anyway."
Germany nodded a little with a sigh, "Be ready in an hour--and don't make me regret this bruder!"
Prussia laughed loudly as he disappeared down the stairs. "You won't! Kesesesesese, hopefully."
