"Ack!" England growled, slamming his hand down on the hotel's desk. He was glaring at a bottle on his desk, filled with a dark green liquid. "It should be working..." He ran his fingers through his matted blonde hair, leaning back in the chair. He had been at it for hours, trying desperately to find a spell that could work, searched the entire spell book for something, for anything. He'd finally found an ancient spell that could work, but after hours of trying it didn't seem to cooperate.

He moved his hand from his hair to instead cover his eyes, before slowly bringing it down and pushing out of his chair. He'd finish this at his own home; he could get help from his brothers and more ingredients. Closing the spell book and clipping the lid on the bottle, he pulled his belt off his shoulders and dropped his jacket on the back of the chair. He climbed into the neatly made bed and crawled under the covers, curling and getting comfortable, starting to drift into a comfortable sleep.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

England jolted at the sound and shot straight up, rubbing his eyes and glaring at the alarm clock. It hadn't even been a minute, and he didn't realize that it was already time for him to get ready for the last of the monthly meetings. Smacking the 'snooze' button and pushing off his bed, he stumbled to the bathroom. Time for the last meeting, and he was running on no sleep.

~~~
Prussia groaned at the sound as Germany turned the alarm off. He crawled out of bed and gathered his clothes for the day, glancing in the mirror above the dresser as Germany rushed to the bathroom.
The two got ready rather quickly and were ready to leave in no time. Germany forced his brother out the hotel door first out of paranoia, obviously not trusting the Prussian after the last incident.
"You're lucky I'm even letting you come along," Germany scolded, closing the hotel door behind them, "I was going to lock you in the bathroom or something."
Prussia snorted as they made their way down the hall, glancing at his brother as he pressed the elevator button. "Yeah yeah. I'm not planning anything today, calm down. Oh and that reminds me, I'm going over to England's after this meeting."
Germany's eyebrows shot up and his gaze changed to interest and slight worry. "England? Why him? You two don't have much of a relationship, give or take a few alliances or wars. What business do you possibly have with him? Is it sexu-"
"Let me stop you right there," Prussia growled, stepping into the elevator, quickly followed by his brother, "I'm just going to talk a little business. Don't worry about it."
Germany watched Prussia quietly for a moment, his eyes filled with curiosity and questions. When he realized Prussia wasn't going to continue explaining, he sighed in defeat and crossed his large arms over his chest.
"Alright Bruder, but when will you be back?" He questioned.
"Soon enough," the Prussian answered, stepping out of the elevator and making his way down the hall.
Germany watched after his brother for a moment before stepping out himself, following closely behind. He was suspicious, but decided not to push the matter. Maybe he'd figure it out soon enough.
The meeting dragged on for what seemed like ages, and Prussia was bored out of his mind. Listening to the different speeches from the countries about certain global problems bored him because they weren't about him. His gaze shifted to the clock.
'Twenty more minutes of this hell,' Prussia thought, tapping his fingers impatiently on the wooden table, 'then it's break time.'
Curious, his gaze moved from the clock down the rows of countries, settling on England. He looked just about as bored as the Prussian, if not more, and absolutely exhausted. Under his eyes dark purplish black bags were carved in his pale flesh, his hair, despite obvious efforts, stuck to his face and poked every which way, as if whatever he tried to do to flatten it only made it more wild. His green uniform was wrinkled and his tie tied in a loose, unprofessional knot.
He looked as if someone just ran him over with a truck.
England's tired eyes slowly moved from the wood of the table to meet the red of Prussia's, and for a long moment the two stared in awkward silence, before someone cleared their throat.
"Excuse me," Germany caught the attention of the bored room, Prussia and England's heads immediately snapping in the direction of the German, "you two love birds have been staring one another down for the past five minutes. Is there something you need to say?"
Flustered and obviously pissed, England quickly shook his head. "We've got only a few more minutes left until break, just please continue without further delay," his voice grew stern, "and never again pair me up with that." He motions to Prussia with slight disgust.
Prussia snickered quietly under his breath, seemingly unfazed, glancing back at Germany and motioning for him to continue.
The German raised an eyebrow, his arms tightly crossed over his chest, eyeing the two for a few more suspicious moments before sighing.
"Alright everyone, break starts early today. Be back at 1:15 exactly. Dismissed."
