I woke up to pure silence. Calex was still asleep in the same position I had left her in last night, and Cameron was no longer screaming to get into the room. I pulled back the comforter, and stepped to the door, pulling it open. Cameron fell back with the door, startled, and I jumped back for a moment.

"I'm sorry, I-I couldn't sleep... I guess I fell asleep outside your door." He said rubbing the sleep away from his eyes. I was angry with him still, but his morning voice and messy hair had my heart breaking.

"Go get in bed, okay?" I said bending down to kiss his cheek. He watched as I walked into the kitchen, I assume waiting on me to say something else. He stood up went to the bed and laid down, where he soon fell fast asleep.

An hour later someone knocked on the door. I opened the door to a bright eyed Alex, who I hadn't seen in months.

"ALEX!" I screamed as I jumped into his arms. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?"

He smiled and hugged me back, then sat me down. "Working I guess you could say."

"Alex." Cameron said for blunt greeting. He gave him a nod.

"Cameron." Alex replied, his smile fading.

"Uh.. Is something going on between you two?" I chuckled. I looked between the both of them. They continued to glare at each other, before glancing back to me.

Things hadn't been so hot between the two lately. Cameron hadn't seen Alex in god knows how long, which made them both irritable for not trying to stay in touch or as close as they used to be.

"I don't know." Alex turned towards Cameron. "You tell me."

"Look Alex. She doesn't know and you don't need to tell her. It's dangerous and you know it." Cameron said angrily. Alex rolled his eyes.

"You still haven't told her? My God you are one hell of an idiot." Alex snarled.

"What are you both talking about?! Is this about his "wanderings"?" I asked looking towards Alex. "Please Alex. Be honest with me, because apparently Cameron doesn't want to be anymore."

I looked towards Cameron with hurt in my eyes. He opened his mouth as if he were going to say something, but stopped when he had nothing to let out. Alex took a seat at the bar.

"Mack... I've wanted to tell you this for a long time.. But-" Cameron started.

"But he's an idiot. And he's putting you in more danger by not telling you. By not having you prepared." Alex interrupted sending him a condescending stare.

"Not telling me what?! Someone just please tell me the truth." I begged.

I was tired of being lied to. Tired of being held in the dark on everything. If I was in such grave danger why was I not allowed to know about it?

"Cameron here made a deal with an angel of God." Alex said glaring at Cameron.

I laughed hysterically. "You're kidding right?"

But Neither of them laughed. I wiped the smile off of my face, and stared at Cameron begging for more answers.

"Told you she wouldn't believe me." Cameron said hurt. He shook his head with disappointment.

"I never said that.. Go on Alex." I stated.

"He made this deal with an angel of God to be a hunter. A demon hunter, or a monster hunter so to speak." Alex repeated. He stared at me blankly.

"Demons? Monsters?" I asked.

"Yes." Cameron piped in. "That's where I've been going all this time. To fight off the evil, to fight off the demons. Alex has been wanting me to tell you for a long time.. But I was afraid that you would end up hurt."
