Kat's POV

It was almost midnight I think. It was slightly windy and you could feel the rain coming. We were walking in a neighborhood full of those stereotypical all American houses with the giant tree in the from yard with a tire swing, white fence, open backyard. Things you'd see on TV. Most of the lights were off inside and out. I was almost certain that it was a weekday so all the kids had to have been asleep and all their parents probably had work early the next morning. These people, this lifestyle, it's so odd. So different. So Normal.

The two of us were mostly silent, even walking here was quiet except when Jeff had to tell me I was going the wrong way when finding a way out of the woods. He just grumbled though. He didn't act like he normally did. Jeff's not a huge talker to begin with I guess but he just seemed so off tonight.
"Um, Jeff, are you okay?" I asked.
"Fine." He grunted without even turning to look at me. He had a steady pace in front of me, slouching over with his hood barely pulled over his head. His hoody was still covered in dry blood and dirt, it probably hasn't been washed in ages. You could also see a small bulge in his right pocket, most likely from the knife.
While Jeff had this creepy, killer look going on, I just looked like stupid me. A plain black long sleeve, some old skinny jeans and a pair of vans. My hair pushed back behind my shoulders, blowing faintly as I tried to keep up behind Jeff. It was oily too from not taking a shower in who knows how long, making me look like his normal skinned little sister.

"When are we gonna get there?" I asked.
"Shh." He said flailing his hand over his shoulder.

Everything was so silent. Usually Jeff would be laughing to himself or mumbling something under his breath or just making some type of noise. The only thing I could hear was the faint chirping of crickets, our footsteps, and.....cats?
There was a faint 'meowing' noise somewhere close by. I couldn't resist going after it. It's not like we were doing anything important at the moment so I stopped in my tracks and listened. It was across the street.
"Kat? Kat! What are you-" I heard. I awkwardly ran across the street trying to not make a lot of noise, while mister serial killer was shouting out my name like no one else was around to hear.
I went up to the front door of one of the houses and there she was! A small black kitten with the brightest green eyes you could imagine, meowing at the front door of this house, bobbing its tail back and forth like a small metronome. I tried petting her but she was a bit stubborn, almost rebellious(in the cutest way possible)at first but after a little while of talking to her like the weirdo I am, she started bumping her head into my hand.
"Hm. Well you're just a sweetie aren't ya? Little rebellious sweetie. Rebellious. Hm. Rebel. That's it, you are now officially my Rebel." I giggled. Rebel was purring and rolling over continuously as I heard Jeff make his way behind me.

"I get that I call you 'Kat' but that doesn't mean that meowing should be your mating call," I heard him grumble to himself. I was still distracted by this cutie to even notice that the door in front of me opened.
"Ahem."
"Hm? Oh! Uh he-hello. Good evening miss." I stuttered.
"Do you have any idea what time it is? Why are you at my house when it's twelve o clock? Do I have to call your parents?" She snapped. I was so lost.
"Uh umm this is. Uh my, my cat! I thought I lost her and I uh-" I stated before being interrupted by her fear. She gasped and stared blankly at Jeff who was standing at the end of the driveway. She slammed the door, making both Rebel and I flinch. Jeff came running up, grabbed my arm and burst through the front door.
"Heheehee. This'll do!" He shouted while pulling out his knife. I could see a smile creep its way onto his face right about now and that for sure meant trouble.

"Jeff what do you-" But my voice was drowned out by the sound of the woman's shriek. She had dropped the phone and I could just barely hear the 911 operator on the other line. Jeff lunged for the woman who had now collapsed on the floor and stuck his knife in her mouth. He shanked it out through her cheek, leaving the exact same mark he had on the side of his face. He did the same to the other side, leaving her crying and whining in pain.
"Pwlease! Pwlease! St-stohp! I. I. I- taake wha' eveah-" She gurgled over the blood now seeping into of her mouth. He grabbed her throat, stopping her whimpering. The final thing she would've ever heard was his hoarse voice growling. 'Go. To. Sleep.'
And with that, the knife was repeatedly pierced into he stomach. Blood was flying everywhere, on the walls, on Jeff; it was a horrid sight.
Jeff didn't stop laughing. He's insane. He's a psychotic serial that enjoys taking lives of people. What's wrong with him?!

"Heh. Heheee ahaahhaaHAAhAAHHAaaaHA! KAT THIS IS SO MUCH FUN! WHY DONT YOU- WHY DONT YOU- JOIN IN ON ALL THE FUUUUUNN?!" He laughed, staggering up, leaving the woman's bloody, mutilated body on the glossy yet freshly coated in blood, floor. I just stared at him in pure shock and disgust. What else could I have done?

"You. You SON OF A BITCH! Y-YOU BASTARD!" I heard from the stairs behind me. A man, most likely the woman's husband, had just witnessed the brutal murder of his partner and was ready for revenge.
"HOW DARE YOU. HOW FUCKING DARE YOU! I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU! YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" The man cried. He had a small gun in his shaking hands and started firing everywhere. Out of the corner of my eye I swear I saw some of the neighbors lights turn on.
"HahahaHaHhAahaAAHa! You?! You're gonna kill ME?!" Jeff giggled after avoiding the mans bullets. He was crying and shaking out of anger.
"You could've 'killed me' when I was killin' that chick!" He said pointing his blood soaked knife at the lifeless body in the kitchen.
"Shut tHE FUCK UP!" He shouted, starting to fire again. Jeff got a hold of my arm and threw me into the kitchen, making me fall and crawl behind a cabinet.
The man cried and fired the gun until small clicks replaced the sound of the escaping shells.
"Hehhhee. Lets see you try to kill me NOW!" Jeff laughed. There was a sudden 'thud' and Jeff was cracking up again. I snuck back by Jeff observing the knife that was now lodged in the mans forehead.
"DADDY!" The voice of a child shrieked. Jeff was busy leaving his 'famous' scars on the mans face, twinning both him and his wife. He twirled around and saw me standing there in awe.
"Hahahaaaa! Isn't this FUN KITTY?! AHAHAA C'MON! C'MON! ONE MORE ONE MORE!" He sounded like a drunk six year old begging for one more ride on the merry go round and tugged my arm, pulling me up the stairs.
"Hehehe where are ya little one?! C'mon Jeffy won't hurt ya! Jeffy just wants ya to- hehe- go to sleep." He whispered.
There was faint crying coming from what I thought to be the child's room. He crept inside with his knife behind his back in one hand, and my frail arm in the other. He opened up the closet revealing a small child, most likely 4 years old, holding on to a stuffed bear and crying his eyes out in fear. His sniffling stopped and his attention went immediately to the serial killer towering him.
"Leave me ALONE! DONT HURT ME!" The boy cried, throwing the bear and missing Jeff. He let go of my arm (which was now stained from fresh blood from his hands) and squatted down to eye level with the boy. Still laughing with that menacing voice.
"Heh- what's- what's your name, child?" He chuckled.
"W-Will." The boy sniffled. "P-please don't hurt me! I I didn't do nothing!"
"Will. My names Jeff. Heh. Okay? And Jeffy doesn't want to hurt Will." He was slowly taking the knife out from behind his back. "Jeffy just wants you to Go. To. SLEEP!" The knife was quickly shanked into the boy's throat, making a 'shunk' noise then swiftly sliced the child's throat leaving a splatter of blood on the wall. His arms went limp and fell to his side and his head hit the wall with a light 'thud'. The boy is dead.
Jeff fell back laughing like a maniac. I stood there, gawking at the now lifeless body of the young boy. He would never have gotten to experience the joys of life, all because of Jeff.
I was still standing over the body when Jeff had calmed down a bit, but still in his psychotic personality.
"Kitty? Kitty cat, why are ya crying?" He asked somewhat sincerely. My hand reached my cheek and I could feel the small tear's path, now being traced over with another tear, and another. I didn't feel like crying, I didn't think I could've cried at a moment like this, I don't know what's happening.
"Can we leave now?" I say blandly. Before he could answer there were small, light footsteps going through the hall outside this room. Jeff smirked and tugged me out of the room.

(A/N: GOUHEONGVOEHFN I HAD A REALLY GOOD PART COMING UP NEXT AND IT WAS ON MY ITOUCH BUT I DIDNT SAVE IT AND FRWJHNFOERHF IT WAS SO GOOD ERGHHHH. AND SORRY FOR THIS BEING LATE IW AS JUST SAD ABOUT LOSING THAT REALLY GOOD PART AND IDK HOW THIS CHAPTERS GONNA TURN OUT AND IDK IMSRRY ENJOY MY POOBUTT STORY XOk)

There was a small girl of about three or four sleepily walking in the hallway. She had light brown hair and a small light pink dress on; at first glance she looked like the small child that was with the tall man but there's no way that could be her, or, it.

Her curiousity perked up when she saw us.

"Who are you?" The girl yawned. "Why are you, why are you in our house?"

"Heh well, I'm Jeff and this is my kitty, Kat." Jeff muttered.

"But she's a person, silly, not a kitty cat." She stated.

Jeff looked down on me while I continued to glare at the young girl who very much resembled her mother, and he softly put his large arm around my waist. He pulled me in slightly and brought his face to the side of mine whispering "It's time for us to go, Katherine." He grabbed my hand and was ready to say farewell to the girl when I suddenly pulled my hand back. He turned around with a shocked expression noticing the look of fear and anger on my face.

"You can't just...." I mumbled.

"What?" He said.

"You can't just leave her here! You can't just kill her entire family and leave her here to-to...." I said even more infuriated. The girl's tired face had subsided when she heard me say 'kill her entire family'. She didn't respond, she just looked confused.

"And why exactly can't I?"

"Because I know what it's like to live with a terrible family that doesn't care for you and now this girl has nobody to take care of her and no one should ever have to go through that." I growled.

Jeff's face went from shocked to semi irritated; he walked back up to me, face to face(well more like my face to his chest) and whispered "If you have a problem, then you handle it." shoving the knife into my hands where I almost dropped it. He then backed off and huffed his way down the stairs with a bit of an attitude. The girl was now glaring at the large knife in my shaking hands. I crept over to her as a face of fear took over the two of us, and squated down to her level.

"Listen, I- I don't know what to say. Your family is, is gone." I choked. Her face was now completely horrified.

"Wha-... bu-but my my my....mommy and daddy. Where are t-they?" She sniffled. I glanced over my shoulder in the direction of the stairs and the girl went running towards them. I couldn't let her see the mutilated bodies of her parents so I caught her by the wasit before she could get anywhere. By now she was crying like any other toddler would but she actually had a reason too.

"Shhh shhh shh, darling. You'll be okay. Shh shh shh." I hushed, awkwardly patting her head into my shoulder. Her sniffles grew quieter but the tears were still seeping into my shirt. She lifted her head back up and I wiped away some of the excess liquids on her red face. "Listen sweetie, I don't want you to live...live through this pain I mean. I grew up without a mommy. My big sissy was mean to me and so was my daddy. Now...now you don't have an-anyone and I can't have you live through that, okay?" I say sympathetically, tearing up too. "Now listen here, it'll be quick and painless. You'll just feel a little pinch, like a shot." I say.

"Bu-but I don't like shots. I just wanna see my mommy and daddy." She says back.

"You'll be with them soon. As soon as this is over you'll be with them, like how you get a sticker after shots. You'll be with mommy and daddy soon, I promise."

"Uh..mm.. hold my hand." She says putting her small, fleshy hand in my left palm. "That's what mommy does, Kitty."

I swallow down the saliva in my throat nervously as I start to count down from three.

"Three......" I close my eyes and raise the knife.

"Two........." Her hand grabs mine harder as I hear a faint wince come from her.

"One........." I open my eyes suddenly bringing the knife down but before it makes contact with her I realize that her face is gone completely. It's been replaced with the pale, blankness that the man in the suit has. Panic spreads throughout my entire body in that one instance and I'm left with a frozen body and giant knife mid-air. In a matter of seconds the man's infernal and bloody smile creeps up out of no where causing me to swing the knife down into it's body. The fear kicked in fast; I was stabbing it, getting blood everywhere until I knew for sure that that Thing was dead. Tears were streaming out of my eyes and everything just seemed blurry. After roughly twenty or thirty jabs and slashes at the small, now lifeless body, I slump down onto my end and toss the knife down. I fall onto my side panting, not daring to look at the corpse that I just stole life from.

'I just killed her,' I thought. 'I just killed- a human being....I'm-I'm just like him now.'

I close my eyes as tight as possible, cringing at the thought of that. While trying to control my breath, I hear loud 'thumps' lunging up the stairs. I slowly my body, heavy with guilt and pain to see Jeff beaming with joy once more. He runs to first pick up his knife then me giggling with excitment.

"Heheheee cops are here! Time to go!" He says picking me up, putting me on his back and jumping out through the window (which is on the second floor) in the closest room. He lands with a slight fumble but quickly gains speed and starts jumping over fences and running through yards.

I could see the flashing blue lights blurrily out of my puffy and still teary eyes. My body was still numb and full of filthy guilt. I just wanted all of this to be a dream....no. It was a nightmare. This was all just a nightmare and I would wake up any minute now.....
