''Jane don't forget to clean the rooms for your gust said Jane's mother.'' ''Also your grandfather is coming back from Mexico and spending a week with us. Jane was having a sleepover with her friends Harry,Leo and Veronica at her home in the village of Norway. Later that evening the doorbell rang and Jane let her friends in. After dinner they all went to Jane's room to play a game of Monopoly.

Have you'll heard about the mysterious Cottage in the Woods, Jane asked. The villagers think there is something strange about it. "Can we see it?" asked Veronica "When, now?" asked Jane "Yes, now because this game is boring" shouted Leo. It was forbidden to leave Jane's home after bark so they sneak pass her mother's bedroom and headed towards the cottage.It looked dark and dismal. Leo became afraid and wanted to go back. Jane with torchlight in hand went to the front door and opened it. It made a loud squeak.In side there were spiderwebs stretching from the wall to the furniture, as Jane walked she can feel a mysterious pull as if someone is trying to lure her inside and the door slam closed with a gust of wind.Jane tumbled over a small chair making a loud noise.Veronica shouted O gosh and they all ran inside with their torchlight shining bright. "What!, happen Jane"ask Harry and Leo. Jane unconcerned continue looking for clues. Upstairs Jane opened a bedroom door, which had lots of toys and a makeup bed and lots of beautiful baby things neatly put away.Then they all decided that nothing was strange about the house and left.Whilst leaving the house they hear movements behind. Leo shouted.'' Look there is a shadow of a lady!" and they all ran home in a panic,that night no one slept.

They left earlier next morning still talking about the shadow they saw.Later that day Jane grandfather arrived. The first thing Jane did was to ask her grandfather about the house in the woods. Her grandfather said ''The house was owned by your grandmother and I and her first baby died.'' '' She became very ill." Your grandmother died ten years ago and I was to sad to live there so I moved to Mexico.The house belongs to your mother, one day it will belong to you. She knows about the RUMOR but I know she does not want to talk about what had happened in the past.Jane said granddad am glad you told me what, happened in the past but you haven't told me about the lady Leo saw.
