Page 5: The Encounter

Jacky Dawson's POV

When I heard my name being called, I entered the room waving my right hand gesturing 'hi' to everyone. All of them were clapping. I felt proud of myself. I went forward & stood with other important staffs of the office. I looked around the hall to have eye contact with my employees. I wanted them to connect with me.

When my eyes went slowly from left to right, something caught them!

The colour!! The same freaking yellow colour!!

It was clearly visible to me because no one else wore that colour in that entire hall. Thus, I was very much sure that I found the girl who was wearing that dress today. I remembered her earlier painful expression and those big wonderful eyes.

I couldn't take my eyes from that colour & that was when her head slightly tilted to the right from behind another guy and my eyes caught her big wide eyes. I could say from her terrorized expression that she was not expecting to see me again at all. She hid her head again with a jerk. My eyes were constantly on her while listening to the speech of the staffs. After another minute, she looked at me again sneaking like a small, six year-old girl. I was still looking straight into her eyes. And, this time she didn't hide herself, rather her eyes were everywhere else than on me. I could see a glimpse of discomfort in her face when I started giving my speech.

After my short encouraging speech to the vast crowd, everyone left except me and the higher staffs. My eyes followed that yellow silhouette till the main door closed behind it. When it was out of my sight, I turned to shake hands with the management staffs. I got the idea that she was an employee in my office.

Right now, the only thing in my mind was how to find her. I want to confront her, I am curious to know why she left without saying anything at the cafeteria, apart from that, what happened to her neck when I hurt her unintentionally. After all, her pain was visible from her facial expression.

But I never got a chance to look at her wound. It was driving me crazy because no other girl ever treated me like the way she did.

I mean, it is interesting to know a girl who didn't lay a seductive eye on me.

Rather she was quite pissed when she first saw me and she was in horror when she saw me for the second time as I found her hiding from me.

That was quite funny. Why was she hiding?

'Oh, come on! It is obvious that she just found out that you are the owner of this office.' My inner voice replied to me.

Yeah right! That is the truth, I guess.

'So, Now what?' My inner voice asked me.

Now? Well, let's begin the search!!!

I entered my cabin and gestured Bellram to sit in-front of me after taking my seat.

"Sir, you can have lunch in the cafeteria. Do you want me to grab something for you? I was just about to go there." Balram asked with a sweet smile.

"Thank you, Bellram, but no, I am not hungry yet!" I replied with a smile. "But before you go, I need something from you." I said pointing both of my index fingers at him.

"Whatever you want, sirrr!" He nodded.

"Bellram, I want all the employee detail files. Where can I find it?" I asked.

"In your computer, sirrr. There is a folder in the D drive named 'Staffs Files'. That folder contains all the excel files of employees but, there are more than seven hundred files. What are you exactly looking for?" He asked curiously.
